One Finger Death Punch 2

I don't know how much I can say about this one but I thought I'd give it a go.

I love the first quite a bit and it tends to be the game I pop on if I just want a quick thing to play. The levels are nice and quick I'm certainly not great at it but it's really cool when you get into the rhythm of a tough level. You feel like a badass dodging hits and flinging maces at dudes.

I think I initially decided to pick up the first because of a Total Biscuit video on it, I remember him being oddly excited by kinda a silly small game (had to go back and watch... he gets so excited, it's great). It looked like those sweet stick fight animations I used to watch for hours (though maybe not quite as dope without Me First and the Gimme Gimmes playing underneath).

They're just silly fun that are just as entertaining to look at even given their simplicity. Dunno what else to say.

Late public response but I sent you a PM a while ago thanking you for GRIME, definitely gonna play it this year just not sure when because I'm in the middle of (2) JRPGs and Elden Ring is coming out soon. I'll have to fit it in inbetween Elden Ring and MH Rise: Sunbreak hmm....

Absolutely gorgeous game, still getting the hang of it. First time in a while a game has outright kicked my ass. I kinda got used to the lower difficulty that's been the trend with most modern games.

Yeah I 100% it. I struggled against the final boss because of my skills but luckily I had a save about 30 minutes before my final level up and was able to put points into the skills I needed. Only way to win is to stunlock him using cheap shots.

@Revelation34 I assume you have seen the two stealth games with the goblin?

I'd like to try for Iconoclasts. Metroidvanias have always been one of my most loved genres, so here's 3000 words showing that.

Yeah I 100% the first one. I didn't really like the sequel as much due to the lockpick change but I didn't get that far anyway. Maybe I'll play it again one day.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

This game seems somewhat inspired by the SNES Donkey Kong Country games, which are some of my favorite platformers of all time. I love 2D platforming games but I had somehow completely missed this one. I guess I just associated it with the 3D platformer which released a few years back, thought it was another one of those games and forgot about it.
