I never owned it, but I enjoyed the gameplay because it was a lot of what I was looking for in a game. However, I was young, and did not have a computer at my home, so at my grandparents' house I would use the free token for the WildTangent launcher and try to make the most out of my free tokens by keeping the game on at all costs (which is hard to do when you don't own the computer or live near it). I didn't have the proper ability to play a game like FATE until I played Torchlight on the Xbox 360 Arcade. It was amazing, and I had so much fun playing that game. It opened me up to a whole new genre, and I accredit it to being part of the reason why I adore rougelites, even though it only superficially plays like one. I even had an annual return to the game at the start of every summer for about 5 years and I would binge the game in one sitting and try to beat it on hard-core (with a single life). My last attempt, I remember dying at the final boss, but those memories are cherished even though I never won. Because I was limited to the 360, I was unable to play the sequel when it came out, and by the time I had the ability to play Torchlight 2, I was no longer as young as I was, and Torchlight was just a distant, fond memory. If you still have the key for Torchlight 2, that's the title that most interests me. If you do not, then I am glad to have been able to reminisce about something special in my life. Incredible throwback to the 16-bit era, and showing why the SNES was where gaming peaked (although I say that without knowing whether the backend programming etc would have been possible on the SNES; I'm really just going based on graphics). To top it all off, it also offers the surreal, dystopian-like feel of a post-Cthulhian apocalypse... while having a clip with creatures that look like a cross between Marvel's sentinels and AoT's Titans.
