A quarter of all crimes are committed under influence of alcohol, half of all domestic abuse cases involve alcohol, I've seen statistics suggesting that more than half of all murders involve alcohol but I would need to find that again. (Then something like half of all rapes involve alcohol? And that's not even going into the fact that alcohol was deliberately used to destroy minority communities, including Native Americans.) Honestly, the one, biggest problem has been omitted completely. Sure, self-driving cars would be a potentially huge step in the right direction, but alcohol is responsible for more human suffering and misery than everything else put together. Have some areas set aside where people can still drive out of interest if they wish. Guns? So long as the ban isnt followed by an attempt to collect them all then eventually i could see it helping as they slowly trickle out of circulation. Trying to forcibly take them would likely cause a more notable death toll than the collective shootings though. Smoking though id be kinda curious if a ban would be good.
