I use ImageFAQs and (aside from a site update breaking it once and it being fixed a couple of days later) it's been working for me without trouble for years. I don't even bother with the built-in image embedding this site has.

Started watching the first season of Kaiji. Yeah, this definitely feels like the kinda show that hooks ya right away. Also, lots of nose going on in this show.

i got that too and it only seems to work w/ some stuff and not all.. like ur sig for example it doesn't work on that

Yeah, I don't think it works on sig pics, I can't see them embedded either. Also I hate how ibb.co doesn't embed. It's so convenient on mobile and for mass uploading.

You may need to download the update to the script, and if you're on Firefox, then you may need to switch to Tampermonkey BETA to use your scripts instead of the normal Tampermonkey or whatever extension you were using before. I did that and everything works fine now.

As far as I can tell, that site doesn't give you a direct link that ends in .jpg or whatever file extension it is, so of course it won't embed. If you want an image uploading site that's a lot more mobile-friendly than Imgur but still gives you links that actually embed, try vgy.me

I love vgy.me but the site kept breaking for very long periods of time which forced me back to imgur. But I can give it a try on mobile. Just got to hunt down my password...

MAL only lists Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor and Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji: Hakairoku Hen. But the site I'm using lists the above 2 plus Kaiji Season 2. Both Hakairoku and "Kaiji Season 2" being listed as released in 2011, but the descriptions for both are different. I don't know what I'm looking at.

Sorry Cal I just saw your posts in the previous thread. It's a shame you dropped Fafner before it got good, would've been cool to have another person on this journey but it's all good. I appreciate you gave it a shot. Thanks.

Cross Ange was pretty nice. Most of the girls were unlikeable including Ange but she got better at least. Like the only decent people were Tusk and Momoka and Vivian. Tusk is best boy, Momoka is best girl and Vivian is cute.

Also yeah I watched Gravion back in 2012 and I love it. I love Obari so seeing all the Obari goodness in an Obari anime was great. In typical mecha and hero anime fashion there's stock footage for combination sequences but they're all so beautiful. Oozing with Obari goodness. So yeah watch it and enjoy it. It's only like 24 episodes including both seasons.

Oh and Luna is best girl.

I'm only 7 episodes in and Cross Ange is already a lot more insane than I could have imagined... and from what I've heard people say about it, it only gets crazier from here. I also downloaded all of Megaton Musashi to watch now that it's fully subbed, plus I also have Gravion and the second season of Code Geass lined up to watch soon too. This mecha binge of mine has been pretty fun so far.

I can't find where I put it (I'm assuming it's on an external somewhere) but my biggest anime pic is like 100MB or something insane like that. the only reason I have it saved is because at the time I got it, it was the largest file size image on <a certain site that gfaqs doesn't want to let me name> and I thought that would be a funny thing to have

Forget the mecha binge for today, the Revue Starlight movie is finally subbed and I'm ready to have my heart ripped out of my chest. First I need to re-watch Rondo Rondo Rondo (the compilation movie that changes the ending of the TV series to set up the movie) and then I watch the sequel movie.

My body is ready, but my mind and heart probably aren't. Even so, it's time to raise that curtain.

What was different about the ending to Rondo Duo Rondo Rondo? It's been so long since I watched the original anime I don't remember what changed.

Just finished my Rondo Rondo Rondo rewatch. I've now watched Revue Starlight six times (four of the TV anime itself, two through this movie) and it's still just as beautiful as the first time. The interlude just before the final battle has never failed to make it cry a little, and the last few battles have never failed to get me super hyped. There's a reason why I consider this a 10/10 and one of my top 5 favorite anime of all time.

I'm going to take a break and get something to eat, and then I'm going to watch the new sequel movie.

It's been so long since I watched the original anime I don't remember what changed.

* The order of Karen's revues was slightly switched, so now her *TV series spoilers* getting absolutely curbstomped by Maya is her second revue, while her defeating Junna is now her third and is framed as her getting back into her rhythm for the future battles ahead.

* There were more scenes focused on Nana and her conversations with the giraffe scattered throughout the movie, slowly building up to the reveal of *series spoilers* her endless encore that she had been creating since long before the series began.

* Hikari's backstory of her *series spoilers* previously losing a revue audition in London, losing her brilliance, learning the truth about the revue auditions, and then getting a "second chance" back in Japan was revealed earlier in the story.

* Every revue except *series spoilers* the Karen/Hikari vs. Maya/Claudine revue duet had a remixed song (including the Karen/Mahiru revue having a really creative 8-bit remix sounding like it came straight out of an NES game) while the one I mentioned that didn't get a remix just had a brand new song entirely.

* After the final revue and the ending already seen in the TV anime, there's an additional scene of Nana talking to the giraffe. During the scene, *Rondo3x spoilers* the camera pans over to the steps in front of the Starlight Tower, where you see the bodies of all nine stage girls (including Nana herself) laying on the steps, dead and covered in blood. After that, Nana speaks to someone off-screen, and the camera switches to Hikari, who says that their story as stage girls isn't over yet. I'm sure all of this is meant to be metaphorical in some way, but it definitely feels like Nana is somehow even more unhinged than she was during her endless encore, which we'll find out more about in the second movie.

I'm definitely not watching the recap movie right after finishing the series but maybe I'll try to look up the soundtrack

I finished the movie... wow. It was more beautiful, incredible, and over-the-top than I ever could have imagined.

Every single revue had me thinking "how can they top this" and then they topped it every single time. Banana's "revue of annihilation" was absolutely brutal, Mahiru chasing down Hikari was really unsettling and felt like it was straight out of a horror movie, the Futaba/Kaoruko and Junna/Nana revues were really cool too, the Maya/Claudine revue was absolutely amazing and by far the most beautiful part of the movie, and the fourth wall break during the final showdown with Karen and Hikari caught me so off-guard even though looking back it probably shouldn't have. And in the end, the whole movie was one grand metaphor for the girls sorting out their feelings and figuring out what they would do with their lives after graduation and how they would find or create their own stage in the future, and it was executed to perfection. 10/10, absolutely incredible.

Now that this movie is factored in, Revue Starlight might have jumped from my 4th-favorite anime of all time to my 3rd, possibly my 2nd. I'll need to take more time to think about it (and possibly watch this movie again to see some things that I may have missed) before I decide for sure.

Alright everyone, final day of the year. Same question as last year. For those that use MAL or keep track in some other way, what shows did you finish this year? OVA's, Movies, Specials as well, but not shows you are still currently watching.

I don't keep track on Anilist of when I watch shows, so the best I could do is make a list of what shows I finished that aired in 2021 or I know for sure ended their runs in 2021. I'll try to make that list later today.

The animation and action was great, and Ghost was an awesome antagonist, but I think the main characters, the dialogue, and (outside of Ghost) the story were just dull. Comparing AMAIM to the other new mecha anime I watched this season, I liked it a lot more than Sakugan or Shikizakura, but not as much as Rumble Garandoll or Ancient Girl's Frame. That being said, it's the only one of the bunch that's confirmed to be getting a second cour, so maybe things will get more interesting later on.

Fairly small list for me. I'm working on watching a bit more these days as I'm starting to use anime more as a Japanese listening practice tool as well. I'm going to try to watch some more currently airing stuff again like I used to, as well.

Honestly out of all of those Engaged to the Unidentified was probably the most enjoyable.

Worst were Battle Game in 5 Seconds and Gangsta, both were pretty shit.

I just knew that Ghost's AI will be shown as a stinger to end the first cour. Yeah it was just its box. I bet he's gonna have an edgy design, like black coloured and having red eyes or something. The ED foreshadowing Amou's "death" was something

The sad thing is, it's that low on my list despite me actually liking it more than most other people did. As an anime-only, the stuff from the manga that got skipped over didn't annoy me nearly as much as it did for the people who read the manga, and there were a few moments in the anime that I still really liked. I ended up giving it a 5.5/10, which is still not very good, but it's higher than most would give it.

Add the newest El Melloi anime special to my anime watched this year. Fate always does something on New Years Eve.

Reines is best girl. Love that little devil.

And it looks like the second Camelot movie is out and subbed, so I'll knock that out as well over my long break.

Lupin Part IV is only alright so far. I feel like the majority of the episodes I've seen are on the slow side. There also seems to be a lack of Goemon. I guess it's to be expected because according to Lupin "lore" he only joins in sometimes, but it sucks because he's like the coolest character.

It seems everyone likes Part 5 better.

Part 4 is where I got into Lupin (because it aired on Toonami) and I liked it, especially the second half. But I definitely liked part 5 better too.

Yeah I'm still on the first half.

I got into it back in the day during the 00s when they aired the old 70s series on Adult Swim, but I don't think I ever saw all the episodes. I did get and play the PS2 game though.
