As a pure "superhero" movie, I gotta go with Avengers: Infinity War. So far it's the film that does the best job at translating the event comic into blockbuster gold, juggling all these characters and grand events into something cohesive, exciting, and game-changing while also giving you anticipation for that next issue or story (i.e Endgame). --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. I don't like the idea that "pure" superhero movies have to be distinguished. Spider-Man 2, Infinity War+Endgame, and Into the Spider-Verse were all really great Spider-Man 1 and Homecoming were not AS good but were much more Queens and as a native I appreciated that. Not necessarily complaining, and I get why it wouldn't hold up compared to modern superhero movies for someone. I saw the movie for the first time (or at least first time since I was very young anyway, I used to have the DVD) last summer and left very impressed even if it was pretty hokey at times. But I'm a bit of a sucker for '70s movies and kind of prefer the 1978 Superman's approach to most newer superhero films. --- Why do people act like the left is the party of social justice crusaders? ...
