Sinnoh was the worst region (In DP, not Platinum) before Sword and Shield came out, and the wild lack of type variety is largely to blame for that.

Just looked it up. The video game Blaine kinda sucks. Doesnt even use a fuckin Magmar. Didnt remember that. The anime one is much more memorable. I still remember watching the Charizard vs Magmar battle on Saturday morning when it first aired

It's the reverse -- gym leaders wait for Elite Four spots to open up, and get demoted to gym leaders when they can't hang.

And you'd know a thing or two about not being to hang with a crew.

A lot of the trainers were kind of weird in the game. I mentioned the type stuff to my friend a lot while playing...

Kalos is way better than Sinnoh based on type variety alone.

i'm not big on fire types anyway, so other than chimchar i pretty much skip them this gen. i like the ponyta line's design but they're boring to use.
