I think the height of the game for me was just after Aran launched, but I think that might have been 10~15 years ago already!

Uh, it's been like that since the start. The fact that we got temporary cash shop clothes, while the Korean server already had permanent stuff was always annoying.

Never played it. But I did play a lot of MapleStory 2. And then it got shut down.

I did the starting area once and then got lost in some vertical clock tower or something? that was a long time ago. it was only ok up to that point. not even sure where it goes from there.

Vibing in Scania's Free Market was the best.

Edit: I don't miss grinding for hours as a solo priest in Kerning subway.

No it got worst. The cash shop items are now unique to the character they are purchased on. So like if you teleport rocks you have to buy them for all the characters you are playing

Anything I try to remember about it is burried under a wave of grief, I played it with my fiance before she passed, she'd been playing it since beta, and I'd joined rather soon after. The other thing I feel is RAGE, blind angry rage, because jump puzzles.

Sure, but it started out already kind of ruined due to greedy practices.

I don't remember when exactly I played it. Would have been early-mid 2000s. I quit because of the insane grinding requirements I think.

Unless they changed something very recently, that's not right either. Cash shop stuff is locked to groups, like explorers, heroes, etc. It is very annoying and greedy though.
