I'll try to update with new recs on occasion and keep the thread active. I've got quite a few I wanna share and hopefully I'll be introduced into something new and sweet. --- All politicians are scum. Keep that in mind. IndustrialTrudg 12/09/21 1:30:28 PM #10:	Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa is a 1988 Konami game for the Famicom disk system. It's the latest gem I played and beat. I was honestly impressed with how excellent this one was, and it's a good game to check out to remind you how much quality used to be put into Konami games. Premise is charming Japanese weirdness. It's a platformer but you play as a baby who crawls and uses a rattle to inflate enemies into balloons (a gimmick that could once be seen as innocent) which you can then use as platforms as they float or bump into them in order to send them flying to hit enemies. Even though you play as a baby the game can be quite challenging especially when you get to world 5. It never feels cheap though, always fair and the level design is consistently creative and well made. Plenty of impressive scenery design considering the systems limitations. with bosses theres not a large variety but they tend to be fun and challenging, plus battle areas are usually cleverly designed to mix things up. Theres usually one at the end of each level with a few exception. Theres 7 worlds with 3 stages each (the 7th has a 4th stage the final boss stage). Each one has it's own theme and again the envirements tend to be creative and varied. If you die you return to the beginning of the stage, lose all your lives return to the beginning of the world. Might sound harsh but you have unlimited continues, and again the game can get tough but rarely can it be called cheap. Honestly no real complaints here. It's a top down action shooter from 1987 and it's really damn impressive how refined it feels and looks for the year. Feels more like a later nes title tbh. 7 levels varying in terms of size and complexity. The goal is to basically collect three gems on each level and move on to the next. Levels are non linear and all well designed, though the first one does have some mandatory back tracking after each gem but this isnt repeated. Interesting thing is when you fall in a whole you instead of being hurt you end up in an area that you have to escape from. Usually theres lots of lava to damage you but you can also find useful powerups in these areas. --- All politicians are scum. Keep that in mind. SNES Super Ninja Boy 2 player RPG that has 2D side scrolling, live action battles and boss fights are turn-base.
