I ended up with two of one item one time I think because of that. it was "guaranteed 24 hour delivery" or something, and failed to arrive the first day and then the second day I got 2 (I assume because the failed delivery caused another to be sent or something, but not sure.)

(which reminds me of the time I ordered oven mits. do you get 1 mit or 2? I assumed you get 2, but got 1. so then I ordered another one, and got 2, which is why I have 3.)

I had that happen with an order from Hanes. I bought a bunch of shirts, pajamas , and underwear, but after 3 weeks nothing came. I called customer service and they shipped out an order. The first order came that same day. I didn't need tees or undies for years after.

If they put a lie as the excuse. Like that security blocked them, or your house was inaccessible.

Go to Amazon chat and complain about them lying. They will compensate you with free credit based on how expensive the purchase was. (Cheapest compensation being $5 credit).

What annoys me is Amazon's customer service is hit or miss and when its bad, its pretty freaking bad.

I ordered a Kindle Oasis. Had it shipped to my office build which has strict hours of 8am-6pm Mon-Fri. Got the notice that it will be delivered by 6:30AM, called them told them no way since its closed to public, the customer service said that wouldn't be a problem... got the noticed it was delivered at 6:20 something, called them back, told them no why no how. They said to wait 48 hours to see if it turned up. it didn't. Called back and got the whole "well it says it was delivered" told them about the building hours and how there isn't a place to leave a package outside AND the delivery instructions on my account. transferred THREE times to FINALLY get a refund after about 45 minutes on the phone telling the same thing over and over to multiple people.

I ordered a necklace that, once it got to the U.S., it disappeared. When they said it was the right time to request a refund, I did and ordered the same necklace again. That one arrived safely and the first one finally showed up a bit later.

I ordered some seeds, for a reason.

And I got a package of seeds for some mystery plant from China. I still dont know what tf kinda seeds are in that packet. Afraid to find out.

I requested a return on a game a day or so after I got it. They ignored it for like 40 days, then sent me a notice rejecting the return saying it was outside the 30 day window. About an hour on the phone with customer service later they finally agreed to give me my money back without returning the game.

I stopped using them for games after that and switched to Best Buy. Only "problem" I have ordering games from them is they sometimes send me an extra copy when I request in-store pick-up.

It arrived... it took me like 20 minutes to get it up my 6 flights of stairs (or 3 half flights, I'm on the 3rd floor)

It weighs 60lbs (according to the box) so that was definitely hard work for me (
