I refused to buy any subsequent Rockstar games as soon as Take-two started suing modders. I think that's a bigger deal than releasing a buggy game. I think consumers, modders and streamers/youtubers should run away from these games (anything new, anyway).

I think a lot of people will vote no, however I want you to vote with the thought that GTA 6 actually looks good. Not that you know it is, but just imagine it looks good. Imagine they show destructible skyscrapers. Pretty tempting right?

Absolutely. I still plan to buy the Definitive Edition when it comes down in price, and if the RDR remaster rumors are true I'll buy that as well

I thought 5 was one of the most boring games I've played this gen.

I'm not sure whether:

1. It was actually bad but loads of fans will eat up any old shit that rockstar put out
Or
2. It was actually good and I'm just at a point in my life where I'm not really the target audience anymore and I was never going to enjoy it.

Either way, it killed all interest I have in buying any future GTA games.

After seeing how badly they've fucked over their fanbase, and have become greedy assholes that clearly do not care about anything but making that almighty dollar, after putting out one GTA on THREE different consoles, and after this fucking Remaster fiasco, I am absolutely buying GTA 6 because I'm a fucking clown.

I respect the self awareness and don't mind this. I just hope Rockstar keeps fucking up where you too just say "nah ill play something else"

This remaster really is garbage though, I implore you not to buy it. However, I think remasters of the 360 stuff like 4 and RDR, I could see them actually doing a good job with that, those games would transition well. If the products are good, it's hard for me to blame you. But at the very least, I think you should hold off if the products arent good

I will definitely get it for the single player. I replayed GTAV for like the 3rd time a couple of months ago.

I'm just glad I held off on the trilogy.

I'm about halfway through San Andreas and it's as fun as I remember it being. Graphics are better, controls are better, and believe it or not I'm not super put off by bugs in a GTA game

That was the last game that Dan Houser and a lot of other great devs at Rockstar did before they vacated the company. It had already been in the works since 2013, they were recording the mocap and stuff in 2014 and 2015. That company doesn't exist anymore. RDR2 is the last hurrah in that line of great games.

The devs there didn't hate the community. Rockstar's devs loved making lots of content for the community at a consistent rate. The devs WANT to do that. The devs LOVE mods. The publisher is the one that makes the calls and gives the orders. If the devs were in charge, we'd have consistent high quality content. They're not.

GTAV was pretty enjoyable, but I got bored with the online jank pretty quickly, and that was...I dunno, 2014? I could see buying GTAVI, even if there's little hope for extra single-player content.

It will look good. It will be an HD universe Vice City or some other epic city, and they will show off some amazing new interactivity, probably destructable environments as I say.

But I'm just gonna take a wild guess that the writing will not be on par with what we had in the games preceding.

As to whether it will be good, who knows. It might be. But for me to buy the company needs to have an overhaul with new people in charge who are community focused and dev focused. This publisher is literally ruining lives and holding game design back.

And to be honest with you, I'm struggling cause I'm pushing a boycott, but I actually haven't played RDR2, and I would like to get it cause the campaign looks good. I was planning on getting before they started the lawsuit, but then that happened. Just sucks. I might get that and just not any of the new gta stuff, still compromising myself a bit though

At this point, i be looking for games to play on the steam deck i will have. GTA games should be nice on it. Now im looking to get more controller games tbh

The one piece sale was nice. Now waiting for the other shonen series steam sales

Not because of the garbage release they put out to meet a 111121 deadline but because no one likes GTA single player games.
