Depends entirely on the context. If you're told what to do by somebody that clearly doesn't understand what's going on, listening to them probably isn't going to be a good idea. If you're told what to do by somebody that does understand the situation (particularly somebody who understands it better than you do), it's probably going to be a good idea to at least listen to what they're saying and incorporate that advice into your actions.

Mostly, just don't use "somebody told me to do this" as the sole basis of whether or not you do something. Take the time to consider what they're saying and make an informed decision. If people that know more than you disagree with your decision, take a step back and reconsider it, because there's a good chance that means you made the wrong choice.

Which, incidentally, means you should wear a mask and get vaccinated against Covid, since you know very little about either subject and have been corrected virtually every single time you've attempted to explain your understanding.

Yes, he learned it by watching a lot of people die and then trying to figure out what the pattern was.

The nice thing about conventional knowledge is that you can generally come to conclusions without having to climb over a pile of corpses to get there.

Eeyup. The "traditional" way of figuring this stuff out isn't exactly the most practical. Heck, for somebody that's so opposed to people "being used as guinea pigs" for the Covid vaccines, you really should have a little more respect for the countless people that died in the experimental process that led to figuring out which foods weren't toxic, and certainly shouldn't be touting that as being somehow preferable to using modern science to figure this stuff out more safely.

Adjl, he definitely proved that humans used each other like guinea pigs for profit and not survival. At least learning which almonds were nutritious and not deadly, helped get us to an era era where we can question man-made compounds 'SOLD' as safe.

There isn't really a difference. Either way, you're exploiting other people's deaths to improve your quality of life. What he's complaining about is not that people are being used as guinea pigs, it's that they're being used as guinea pigs in a way that won't benefit him. Even then, that's arguably pretty short-sighted: As much as Monsanto's a gigantic bag of mouldy dicks, they have definitely advanced GMO science quite considerably and in ways that ultimately will benefit everyone, so odds are he will end up personally benefiting some day (most likely in the form of cheaper/more nutritious food). They've also done a ton of PR damage to the concept of GMO's by being a gigantic bag of mouldy dicks, though, so it'll be a while before that potential is realized.

Questioning is fine, but part of questioning means accepting the answers you get. If you don't do that, you're not actually asking questions, you're just refusing while putting a question mark on the end to avoid having to justify your refusal. In the case of the pandemic response, you can very easily answer questions about the effectiveness of non-pharmaceutical interventions like masks because that data is everywhere. There's no need to fall back on this "they don't do anything! The government just wants to control my brain!" nonsense because it's very easy to figure out why they're being mandated.

For vaccines, all the relevant data is readily available and there's no reason to suspect any more long-term issues than are seen from any other vaccines. If you want to question them, go find answers, don't just hide behind your questions to pretend you aren't just afraid.

You say that like anyone is capable of understanding the world beyond what their perceptions tell them. Literally every thought you have ever had has been filtered through lenses created based on what you have observed. You have only ever believed things that you have been told to believe.
