Obviously don't know how he'll be acting-wise but his general energy seems solid enough (and Luffy being cast well is really the most important thing to make this work). The guy playing Zoro will need to bulk up a bit but I don't think it's a bad choice and Nami seems good too. Not fully convinced by Usopp and Sanji, but I guess we'll see. I love One Piece and I can't really see this succeeding just because of how cartoonish and outlandish One Piece is (and how crucial those elements are to its qualities and charm), but I definitely HOPE they succeed. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! <cite>RyoCaliente posted [p:959848708] in Cast annou... Zoro's actor has won a lot of awards in Japan and also played in the live action Kenshin as Enishi. I have seen interviews with the writer for this on a youtube channel, Rogersbase, and he knows his stuff.
