i will fight you for hans island. Wiki says its yours but other geographical sites say its ours. Its still on going.

so either we have to fight to settle it once and for all or else we can just go there and find those bottles of whiskey and schnapps.

Hans island is a tiny nothing rock but its the only land that sits along where it divides between Canada and Denmark. So every so often a military vessel from either country goes out and steals the other countries flag and puts theirs up. When Canada takes Denmarks flag they leave Canadian whiskey and when Denmark takes ours they leave schnapps.

which is a pretty shitty deal for us so low key Denmark is winning.

if youre from the Netherlands and this is all nonsense lets just go steal some cases of schnapps and whiskey.

I didnt get pics cause my landlord and neighbour were there but my landlords back (hes a good guy but way too friendly so I like when hes gone) but that means his poodle is back.

walter is surprisingly happy about that. He actually loves that dog I think. But anyways the dog is so spazzy and fast and just darts around like a fucking madman and she was getting the best of Walter for a bit... no attacks but great defence.

but then Walter ran to where some cabinets in the hall make a narrow pass and the dog wouldnt go past him anymore but it came up and they exchanged some ass sniffs and dog sucker pounced and Walter kicked it off and they did a weird stalemate stare down right up close and Walter just hooked a floppy poodle pup ear and held dog eye to eye and stared into her soul (i assume).

so I had to remove the stuck claw from the ear and the dog runs back to buddy and hides behind him and Im apologizing like heck cause its his dog and he owns where I live and all.

but he just keeps encouraging them to play like its a good thing theyre setting boundaries. Anyways ten minutes of him urging his dog to play with Walter later they licked each others face a bit and then dog pounced, got wrecked, and refused to go anywhere near Walter anymore. Walter would just go walk to where the dog was and the dog would walk as far away as possible and then run and hide behind my neighbour or landlord.

dog is sneaky and energetic. And in the most dog/cat dynamic ever they both clearly like each other but Walter doesnt wanna admit it. Plus he has to be the dom even with his friends which is pretty cat.

I just got back from the hospital just now. They got him out of the dirty ass ER and up into a room finally. They did the biopsy this morning but they're so busy over there it might take 2-5 days to get results. They even told him he might be able to go home in the meantime, but he still has a clot in his leg and lungs and I don't need him collapsing again. So we'll see. Back to more waiting around.

Got some Shiner Bock on the way home and I ordered country fried steak for dinner.... ohhh yeah haven't had that shit in forever.

I need to go for a fuckin run tomorrow morning probably. All this beer and fast food lately is gonna make me a fat ass.

I went to the Portuguese food truck in a nearby town yesterday and got a pork and onion something something sando. God was it good. It was just some super tenderized smashed pork and seasoning with sauted onions and god damn the only other thing half that good for 10 bucks is a 6 pack.

I need to go back for their piri piri chicken and the calamari and the paella and the something something pasta.

its nuts these two people run this tiny truck and the menu is huge. They have salmon fillet and like... its literally like when Gordon Ramsay goes somewhere and he rips them apart for their stupidly huge menu and then introduces one with just a select few great dishes... they do that menu out of a food truck and holy shit I wish I tried it before.

its so good.

theres an authentic Mexican food truck in town and I talked to some firefighters last summer who were sent up from Mexico and they said it was the best Mexican food you could want. Like people born and raised in Mexico said that.

ive never been able to get food from it cause its next to a global grocers with literally no parking and right on the highway.

i want some so fucking much.

Yeah I always give people from TENNESSEE and CANADA shit for not having good mexican food, but there do seem to be some really good spots around. Not as many as I got, but i'm spoiled here with it.

Honestly, I feel pretty limber. I find that when I drink I either tense up or I relax. Lately I've been getting tense-drunk, but last night relaxed a lot of my muscles and I feel pretty good.

It could be because last night I was drinking gin, and lately I've been hocking into the beers and ciders. It could also be because I was doing 1/9th gin, 4/9ths soda water and 4/9ths tonic water.

A view is a wonderful thing to have in that situation.

when I did a coupla months in hospital it was brutally overcrowded and I spent some time in the halls on a gurney sleeping and I missed the window.

for one month I was in the pediatric ward. They had me in a room that was just a portion of the visitors area that was sealed off with some fabric shit. It was awesome cause I had a tv and vcr with literally hundreds of donated vhs tapes including an insane amount of Scooby doo and oldschool ninja turtles cartoons.

this was like... way after anyone has vhs tapes but honestly it was better than any other arrangement I had during that time. I only tried to escape twice in two months. If I had a regular room it would have been way more quiet but fentanyl and Scooby doo man. Its not the worst way to spend time in a hospital

So I was just thinking I used door dash tonight to order from this restaurant across town because im lazy as fuck. I was thinking you know how they have that GPS shit so you can see where the driver is at? Well what if you pulled that up and you see a blue and red flashing car pull up behind him and there's a little smoke icon coming outta the door dash driver because he was drunk and rolled his vehicle spilling your food everywhere.... That would be something.

I gravitate towards citrus flavors in booze, and gin lends itself incredibly well to citrus. I feel like a lot of people aren't aware that soda water and tonic water are completely different substances - I've run into at least three people who didn't know that. I mean shit, I didn't even know that until I got a bottle to try.

Even if you don't like gin, try tonic water on its own. You can get it with vodka, or just drink it by itself. It's got a very tart lemony taste.
