Game of the Month is a community project open to all B8ers where users share, discover, play and/or discuss a select few games every month. The games featured each month are chosen by YOU the users (and Lady Luck) The Basics - Each month will usually feature three games that were chosen via a random drawing from a pool of games that users nominated - For each game you beat, you get a cool point on our just-for-fun standings as well as a nomination for next month's randomized drawing - In order to receive the point and nomination, you must beat said game within the calendar month - If you beat one of the current month's games in the previous month, you can apply for a "recently beaten waiver," but you will only receive a point and no nomination should you do so - Drawing for next month's games is around a week before the end of the month - If you periodically keep us posted on your progress and/or talk about different aspects of the games, then everyone will think you are super awesome! Nomination Rules - You get one nomination automatically each month - You receive additional nominations each month for every featured game that you beat - Each game you nominate has to be unique from all other nominations and cannot include a game that has already been selected for GotM - Each game must be a standalone game that can be acquired and played on its own (aka cannot be DLC/expansion that requires the base game) - Nominations only carry over if you beat a featured game after the drawing for next month's games but before the end of the month - As a special feature for 2021, you have 11 supports you can use throughout the year. Enjoyed it well enough (it hooked me enough to beat it in two days,) but I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone at full price. I guess I also beat SaGa Frontier (Blue's scenario), but since almost all of it (everything except the final dungeon.) months ago, it probably shouldn't count. Mr Crispy 11/03/21 1:22:30 AM #7:	I haven't gotten that far yet, but from what I understand the thing about Fuse's story is that he has 7 "case files", and each time you pick him you get a case file at random out of whatever characters you've finished (basically, a harder version of that character's final boss so it's oriented towards NG+ and carrying over data). So I think you would have to finish all 7 other characters and all 7 case files to "properly" finish Fuse's scenario. Anyway I started up Riki's scenario (I was originally planning on starting with Asellus since she has the most new content in the remaster, but I decided I wanted to get a certain battle out of the way asap). Got the merchant, thief, warrior, and healer rings. --- The only certain death in the universe is Mother Hitton's Littul Kittons. I wasn't under the impression that combat was in the game, or at least a focal point, so when it came to choosing my background, I didn't really consider soldier or the one that gave you 50% more health or whatever they called it. The only rule is that you have to beat the game the month it is featured to get "full credit." In the past, I can recall two games in which I did not beat a game from start to finish. The first was Fallout: New Vegas where I resumed from an old spot that I had saved where the plot branches. I did all the remaining routes that I hadn't done, and then I started a new game to loop around to where I was when I made the save. As far as I can recall this is the first time I've run into this question. As a fairly mediocre to average Metroid player, the latter half of the game and especially the final boss was pretty tough. I never enjoyed the EMMI sections, and I wish there were a few more great bosses (because the few that were great were really great) but I loved it, overall. Kneejerk reaction is that this is probably my favorite Metroid game, although I'll need to let it sit. Probably not going to end up playing SaGa Frontier. I just can't get into the way the Fuse scenario is laid out at all, and I beat all the other scenarios recently enough that I don't think I'll want to replay them. A lot happened, so I'm just going to say things: ~~I upset Sentia and the gladiator Dominus~~ The latter stopped me from entering a cistern because someone supposedly died by an unknown entity, and I later discovered that a man locked up for everyone's sake has a key to the place, or something like that. ~~Equitia inferred that people came to the city in a similar fashion~~ ~~I found a woman, Iulia, poisoned to death, seemingly indicating she wasn't murdered/someone found a workaround the Golden Rule, and that the real local doctor locked herself in a palace.~~ ~~Fabia claimed to see someone with a weapon nearby and proceeded to have a building collapse on her~~ ~~I discovered a secret area below a shrine-like place, leading me to a mysterious older man who would speak once I figure out the god responsible for the Golden Rule~~ The aforementioned person with a weapon claims to be an assassin sent by the emperor to kill everyone in this so called cult, and he triggered the Golden Rule. I died because the brightness was poor and didn't know there was nothing beneath me. I had a lot of trouble with his final boss this time, what with a lot of attempts ending when someone got charmed or getting hit by Oscillation. I guess it probably would have went better if I had spent more time preparing for the fight or maybe not split up my efforts rotating the party as much as I did (trying to build up Emelia and Annie for NG+ reasons). I'll try to find time to try to finish up one or two more characters this month.
