Are you okay with ditching these anti-vaxxers from the us military?
Vote
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said 82% of the total force has had one jab meaning 263,200 members are refusing to do so The figures are more promising for the active-duty force where 97% are vaccinated while 87% of that have 2 doses. Active duty troops must be fully inoculated by December 15 while Reserve and National Guard Employees have until June 30, 2022 to get it Kirby said there's little resistance to the vaccine and said they understand that this is an important program and are participating in it 383,560 cases have been detected in the military with 578 related deaths Before the mandate vaccines were optional as Gen. R Scott Dingle said they were a necessary to protect the force and said this was literally life and death for their solders, families and communities Soldiers who refuse and without a legitimate exemption will be DISHONOURABLY DISCHARGED meaning they lose all their benefits they accumulated Are you okay with ditching these anti-vaxxers? https://i.imgur.com/OKf2af1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/1nFGIdG.jpg https://i.imgur.com/uq04HOO.jpg --- The News Will Continue...For Now call me mrduckbear, sweater monkeys. The main objection seems to be that the drug manufactures use fetal cells lines to test the vaccine, but that is SOP for pretty much everything now a days. To be logically consistent you would have to swear off nearly every drug if this was an issue for you. same as a ton of other vaccines and tylenol, and most makeup brands... and breakfast cerealIt's not a great argument, but this is coming from the people that think the Covid vaccine is too experimental, so it is better to take a hodge podge of experimental or poorly proven drugs such as Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine to treat Covid instead. It just comes down to the fact that they are afraid of the vaccine as said before and the religious exemption gives them an easy out, compared to actually having to explain the real reasons why they object to the vaccine. --- <('.'<) <(^.^)> (>'.')> Splendiferous ... DragonClaw01 posted... The main objection seems to be that the drug manufactures use fetal cells lines to test the vaccine, but that is SOP for pretty much everything now a days. To be logically consistent you would have to swear off nearly every drug if this was an issue for you. Indeed. Specifically, it's a cell line from *one* aborted fetus from the 50's (who was aborted because the mother didn't want the pregnancy, not specifically for the sake of harvesting the cells) which has since been used in developing countless drugs and other products. That cell line can be credited with saving literally billions of lives, so while the ethics of using it in the first place were somewhat questionable, enough good has come from that decision that I feel morally at peace with the issue. Plus, as you say, it's in bloody everything. It's been raised by anti-vaxxers as something wrong with the Covid vaccine specifically because they're desperate to find anything to discredit it, but I can all but guarantee that everyone leaning on that excuse has happily consumed other products using that cell line, likely without even looking past this month. --- This is my signature.
