I'm not opposed to NASB as a concept, but the devs blatantly chasing the Melee competitive crowd as opposed to the much larger casual audience--especially for a game like this--did it no favors. Even Platinum put out some low budget stinkers with Korra and Ninja Turtles, compared to something like Transformers Devastation (another licensed game). They leaned into the competitive memes because they knew they didn't have the budget to make a high quality casual experience. pojr 10/27/21 9:49:19 AM #26:	at one point i fell for the hype, not enough to buy the game but enough to be somewhat interested. a bunch of twitch streamers were hyping up the game, like Hungrybox, Armada, Plup and even some Ultimate streamers were playing the game for weeks. there was even a few successful tournaments. it's one thing to "hype" up a game when you're being paid to, but in the case of hbox (dunno about the others) he was not actually paid to promote the game. if they only played the game for 1-2 days i wouldn't have believed it, but they all played it for 1-2 weeks so it made me believe the game had potential at the very least. twitch may not have been the reason i fell for the hype, but had i not seen the twitch streamers play it, i wouldn't have ever seen potential in the game. --- pojr I summon it.
