Conundrum.

A side game in Scrabble for GBC.

There's not even a single image of this I could find online.

It's also my favorite thing to play over the past 20 years or so.

Played through it once. Beautiful game. Still need to play The Last Guardian, which is the third game the studio made (Shadow of the Colossus being the second).

Anyone play Battle Arena Toshinden 3 on the Playstation?

Aground, 2d MineCraft-ish with even simpler Starbound graphics. Play as a survivor who crash lands on an island on a magical alien planet, gather resources across the land to reach the stars again with the power of technology and magic. Also for some reason you can become a dog. I'm not into it but hey.
I played this when it got released on consoles earlier this year and loved it. There's a ton of stuff to discover.

Anyway, mine is Tail of the Sun
It's a weird caveman open world sandbox game for ps1. You get like zero direction in it and eventually figure out that you need to commit mammoth genocide. Why? So you can take their tusks back to your camp and then use them to make a tower. Why? No reason, but if you keep at it you can eventually reach the sun and whatever your highest stat is will determine human evolution. One of those stats being "propagation". It's all weird af

The problem with these topics is that, outside of PC titles, few things are truly all that obscure (not even the Obscure series).

I will mention I haven't heard of at least some of these (and console titles, no less!), which is a nice touch.

Most of the stuff I like isn't so obscure that people haven't heard of it. Some are just cult classics (Soul Blazer), or spun off from a recognizable franchise (Monster Rancher Battle Cards ep 1 & 2, for instance).

I guess Ninja Assault might be one. People generally tend to be less familiar with lightgun games and, even though it got a home port, I don't think it was huge.

Bucky OHare NES
Town and Country 2: Thrillas Safari
Kabuki Quantum Fighter
Inazuma Eleven -This one in particular. Its probably Level 5s biggest series after Yokai Watch, has a long-running anime thats actually pretty good (until the second series), tons of sequels and spinoffs, but they only bothered to localize the first one in the US with zero marketing. And this was after the 4th game was already out in Japan. This was presumably because its a soccer game but its a soccer RPG with fantasy moves and a story that involves gods/aliens/ninjas/etc.

Was gonna say this. Not a puzzle game, its like MegaMan. Its for Genesis by the way.

How about... Magical Pop'n instead? Its not a puzzle game either despite the name. Its like a Metroidvania broken into levels for kids. Its fun for all ages though, like Kirby. Japan only on the SNES but theres a translation patch for the two whole sentences in the game.

Alright, how about, Odallus? its more like a classic Castlevania but you can revisit levels to find abilities like double jump. Kinda like how MegaMan does it. On Steam or GOG I think.
