I've made it to the area just ouside the final boss. They've gone from being pretty generous with the fast travel points to not having enough in this final dungeon. I got to what i thought was the end only to discover i now have to fight like 6 mini boss style battles just to progress when i have no CP. Means i have to teleport out and then run through and skip loads of battles just to get back here.

there's a fast travel point to the surface and back directly past the mini boss portals

Could've at least put one of those full heal pads in the room instead of expecting you to run through all those enemies and then expecting you to fight all these bosses in one go.

we're thinking of different things, I think. If you're talking about the room with six "teleporters" that lead to mid bosses with good armor, then there is a full heal pad and a warp spot directly past them. if you do one of them the door opens and you can do the other five later.

Yeah that was what i was talking about. I'll see if i can beat one of them instead of going all the way through again.

Id like to clear up some of these side quests but I feel like Im not strong enough. Currently my party is around 43-44.

Having now played a good bit of one of Scarlet Nexus's stories and feeling kind of done with the game... maybe Arise is better after all. Whoops! Maybe they're actually both kind of bad.

The Wedge- you've got a decent amount left. I wouldn't try any of the optional bosses at your level. Sure you maybe "could" beat them but you're just going to end up eating a bunch of items that way.

I just beat the 4th Lord and am starting the 5th zone. Brought the difficulty down to Story - I am not good at this kind of gameplay.

I dunno how anyone manages to beat the bosses on anything but story mode. Then again i've always been trash at Tales games.

I think the biggest issue for me is there are so many effects all over the battlefield it's hard for me to tell which is an ally ability and which is an enemies. I assume Ringwell is casting a spell and then all of a sudden I'm dead.

That was a big issue for me as well.

Finally finished it. First half of the game was good but the bit after the 5 realms was crap. Pretty much zoned out of the story and didn't really care what was going on in that last bit. The final Vholran fight was pretty cool though.

I actually didn't mind the last third / exposition dump, but there needed to be a bit more game there at the end (i.e. new non-optional dungeons/areas to explore).

I swapped to Shionne after the 5th Lord and just been jumping and spamming Tres Ventos. Its now max starred. Its cheap but it slays. Playing on Hard mode too, makes everything easy.

Am I missing something or is this a bug? My Kisara s HP keeps dropping?

I've been working my way through the post game stuff. Not sure i can be bothered going for level 100 but i'm doing all the bonus Tales character fights.

Game beaten! Time 80:46:41.

Played on Hard, but that last boss fight was cake.

Just realized something.

This is the first Tales of game I completed.

Got pretty far into Graces F, Vesperia, and Berseria but never completed them. This is the first. Probably going to play Vesperia DE next.

Just beat Chronos. I guess my setup is great cause he was easy. I was expecting a tougher fight. Edna/Eizen was harder.

Boss Rush completed, that was fun.

And I platinumed the game. Total runtime is 90 hours on the dot. The end game stuff was pretty awesome. All in all, I enjoyed this.

scarlet nexus ended up being one of those games where I get all the way to the final boss and lose interest completely

end verdict: arise is better overall, but scarlet feels more like a "next-gen experience" to me. the character writing in scarlet is better too.

Yeah I saw people saying you should play both stories to get the full experience in Scarlet Nexus but I really couldn't bother after beating the guy's story. The world was cool but it felt a little squandered because of how empty the levels were. A full sequel with a real budget might be interesting if it ever happens.
