I generally try to withhold judgement until Ive actually seen a film, but this looks like dogshit. The sets, costumes and CGI all look super cheap and its bad enough theyre combining RE1 and RE2, but also changing and adding extra plot on top of that? I just dont see how this can turn out good. Are most RE fans so traumatised by the Paul W. S. Anderson movies that seeing itchy tasty on a window in blood is enough to get their hopes up? --- Still the number one reason for the success of the Internet. I unironically like most of the RE movies for the shlock and mess that it is. This movie will be a win for me whether it is actually a good movie, or if it's on the same level as the previous ones. There's a lot more concrete story to be found within the Raccoon City Incident. My personal ideal RE adaptation wouldn't even show the Mansion Incident besides flashbacks and I'd present it as a mystery where no one but the remaining members of STARS knows what really happened. The way the story unfolds in the original game isn't suited for a screen adaptation and this would be the best way to do it. --- I've decided to put my fears behind me. I'm not going back. The front hall sort of looked like a pre-render for some weird reason. Looked better in the second. I'm really liking some of the game accuracy here. Some parts are actually similar to the RE adaptation I'd make that I've had up in my head for awhile!
