The World Ends With You: The Animation Episode 2 complete!

I'm struggling to formulate an opinion on this so far. The "gameplay" elements don't really translate well to anime, but the character moments are still pretty solid. They did a good job with the Shiki reveal in this episode.

yes because OST of the Decade Caligula Effect 2 was released yesterday. So we can call it now.

Also I picked up Tales of Arise but it will have to wait for aforementioned OST of the Decade because I'm playing that first.

Finished World 2 of Rayman Legends. I still think Rayman is a bit tough to control when he's running (especially if you attack while he's running), but I'm getting the hang of it. I've really liked these final levels that are musical numbers. They're really clever.

Started watching Odd Taxi. Very weird anime, but so far pretty good!

Just finished episode 4; I felt a little called out since I was literally playing FFRK while watching it...! (though I'm f2p)

I also recently started playing Hades. I got to (I assume?) the last boss before escaping for the first time today but died.

The scheduler didn't learn their lesson after last week and is foolishly putting me on another restream this week, if anyone is so inclined. http://twitch.tv/TheALTTPRLeague at 7:10pm EST (assuming the channel doesn't get changed again).

And if you thought last week was hard to follow, this week should be even better. The mode is Crosskeys, which means in addition to all items/keys being shuffled, every overworld entrance in the game is shuffled as well. (I'm very much going to lose this one, my opponent is significantly better than me and I don't have a ton of experience with Crosskeys yet)

I don't hate how it looks, but the casting decisions are strange. I'm sure it'll be enjoyable in its own way, but we'll see!

Bad endings are sort of par-for-the-course in anime at least, to be fair.

Don't know anything about Attack on Titan specifically but it makes sense that anime fans respond that way to things frequently.

Yeah, to be fair, anime and manga seem to have a higher percentage of bad endings, but I'm not worried about a negative fan reaction to almost anything.

i mean i don't think a negative fan reaction means that it sucks - it isn't going to stop me from enjoying the series.

but if i agree with whatever people hate, then it's going to be unfortunate

i think ending pretty much any series is really hard to do well. it's probably more common for finales of serials to be universally panned than universally praised, and then there are a lot of "whatevers" in there as well.

Yeah, that's part of the problem. The 10% who hate something are way louder than the 90% who like it.

Attack on Titan actually has a complex scenario with complicated themes so it's understandable if the ending is controversial.

However I've seen people have anger towards endings that are the equivalent of getting mad that Mario beats Bowser in the end, so who knows.

Well, that's people who just don't want a conventional ending, but I don't have a problem with conventional endings.

Really? I don't know the episode order for this (actual) final season, but if it's 12 or more, I can see them doing the manga justice.

Not that I'd mind a better endgame/ending.

The latest season did 24 chapters in 16 episodes. 25 chapters remain, and some of those chapters are incredibly dense, so we'd need 16+ episodes again. A movie would also (hopefully) mean better animation for the last few chapters. They'd really shine with good animation I think.
