Sixth season's only six episodes, but I'm not too bummed out about that. "Babylon's Ashes" doesn't need ten.

I'd be more miffed, but the cast and crew are still playing coy as heck regarding if this is really it. I strongly suspect we get an announcement for a miniseries or something either during or after the season's airing.

Well, they covered some stuff that happens in book 6 in season 5 already, so that makes sense.

But I feel like it would be a tease if season 6 is where it ends, especially since the season 5 stinger foreshadows stuff that happens starting in book 7.

Also, book 9 got pushed back to November 30th, which is a shame but at least it's not much of a delay.

Season 6 is gonna adapt some stuff from "Strange Dogs," so that's all the more reason a continuation is likely at the very least the intention.

Vols win, 45-20! It's been a while since Tennessee had an offense anyone would call "exciting," but they've looked awfully good.

Of course, Mizzou and South Carolina aren't the stiffest competition, but it's definitely a confidence booster.

I decided to start the second Famicom Detective Club game. We finally get to meet the Utsugi of the Utsugi Detective Agency the protagonist works for, which is cool. This also seems to be set before the events of the first game, which seems odd. I don't know that we already needed a prequel!

Easily my biggest issue with the Cold Steel series as a whole is the large cast size and that the writers seem to try to warp their stories and dialogue to accommodate this. In principle this issue is solved by telling several different stories each focusing on smaller casts. I don't know if Hajimari actually accomplishes this, but the way it's marketed seems to suggest that it might.

I wanted to pick Titans/Jags in Ladder this week. It was more for the Jags than anything, but it was hard to pick Tennessee on the heels of losing to the Jets.

Actually I guess I can still win on Texans/Pats since Houston is up by 10 right now...!

I chalked the loss to the injuries on the Titans and it didn't hurt that the Jaguars had Meyer seemingly losing the entire team so I was able to go for it. (Though we're on different levels so I just need a win by 4 as opposed to you needing 10+)

Whew, that was a stressful fantasy day because I was way behind after Thursday with Russ going down (my opponent had Woods and Higbee, who both had good games).

I know I've seen ultrasounds from others on Facebook and I've seen it portrayed in media and stuff, but when you're seeing your own child like that for the first time, I was just in awe. I imagine that's pretty typical for any first time parent, but wow.

I've been playing ToCS 1 after playing through TitS and Trails from Zero. It's been fairly pleasant. I'm trying to take my time since I don't want to play the 3rd ToCS game before playing Azure when it finally gets localized.

My favorite trope of the series is how literally everyone who cooks a meal for the main party is an amazing, astounding, life-changing cook.

Nier Replicant beated.

Yoko Taro's still got it. The new content was incredible. I feel like if you told me oh there's a Post Ending D route that restores your save I wouldn't be too hot on the idea but damn it's just executed so well. Everything about Route E is just 10/10 right from the very first divergence when Nier's outstretched ahnd to Kaine glitches and she wakes up from her dream. The handful of interactables in the world (Emil's Staff, the dead boar, the Lunar Tear by the Junk Heap ladder), Yonah's diary entries being altered for a Ending D world. Then damn Forest of Myth getting Snow in Summer and the entire underground complex with the administrators. Emil's return was great (I actually was jokingly complaining at how he somehow never caught up with Kaine in 3 years and boom here he is!) and the moment you enter the Copied City-esque Shadowlord's Castle I knew we were going to go full Automata but the UI switching over still got me. And Weiss's return and the team-up with Kaine was 11/10 best ever.

Also, did Kaine and Weiss just fuck up the Nier world even more than it already was against all odds to bring Nier back? lmfao. Weiss hints at the insanity of what Kaine is doing, Nier tries to dissuade Kaine (and hot damn her rant at him was aces too), the Administrators getting wiped out with their last words being "I hear a song" and finally the giant Lunar Tear on the surface looks like SYMBOLISM but uhhhhhh did Kaine bring Nier back by making a pact with the Flower and basically speedrun Drakengard 3 to get the Ending D final boss to arrive... only no one here can stop it? The Administrators do note her as a Singularity (what Accord said Zero was for her timeline branching ability) and seemed to imply she just shifted the worldline as well like is this the set-up for the next game?

But yes, Nier just as amazing a game as ever. Honestly even better IMO thanks to the polished combat and excellent new content added for sqrt(1.5).

Route E was part of Grimoire Nier which released back in the day and sets up Automata I believe. It's always been part of the canon.

I wasn't a huge fan of it, mostly due to how long it took. Kaine/Yonah diary entries was my favorite part.

I had very little idea what was going on but was really rooting for the comeback because the other team went digging for arrows lol.

I've forgotten so much of LttP I really should have been able to follow the race better just from a casual standpoint.

Yeah, my pilot was telling me about the arrow digging. I was like yeah let me know if they keep digging for 5 minutes.

They routed in their boots a bit quicker, which probably made up a couple minutes (especially because I had to double dip Thieves Town because of the accidental mirror), and they went and got silver arrows before doing Misery Mire, which makes that boss way faster. Those plus my general execution fumbles were the difference there, I think.

When you went to Thieves Town, one of the commentators was adamant that this was a mistake. The other team got the boots shortly afterwards when then explained makes Thieves Town way fast (I think he said reduces the time to around 4 mins).

I can't remember if you said this in the post game interview but earlyish in the run you were going through a dark tunnel without the lamp and then bailed out. Was there a reason for that?

Yeah, the Thieves thing was definitely a tactical error.

re: the dark mountain cave - I lost my spot the first time in there. Its very difficult to manage your position in dark rooms with just a hammer and we knew where hookshot was, which makes it much easier, so we decided to just come back rather than wander blindly.

I do think you can dig up arrows, but Im not sure what the drop rate is. Its very low.
