The video was distributed on social media after the Jaguars lost to the Bengals in a 24-21 Thursday night game in Cincinnati. "I just apologized to the team for being a distraction," Meyer said during his Monday press conference. "It's stupid. I explained everything that happened and I should not have put myself in that position." Meyer added that he apologized to his family, saying they were "upset" about the video. Meyer, who has roots in Ohio and coached the Ohio State Buckeyes from the 2012-18 seasons, said he did not travel back to Florida with the team and stayed so that he could spend time with his grandchildren and attend an event. "There was a big group next to the restaurant," Meyer continued. "They wanted me to come over and take pictures, and I did. (They) tried to pull me out on the dance floor, screwing around, but I should've left." In the video, Meyer is seen seated by a bar and appears to face toward the center of the room while a woman dances with her back toward him. The Jaguars fell to 0-4 after the loss and are one of only two winless teams in the NFL, alongside the Detroit Lions.
