I quite like the vertical name version of the new design. It has a blocky charm that is efficient and crisp. Not so wild about the color choice for the surrounding bubble though. It probably has some deep significance the marketing teams drummed up, I wager.

There have been plenty of decent logo changes that you didnt notice because they were subtle, for instance what if I told you that Nintendo got a new logo in 2016? In terms of big changes though, the Youtube and Instagram logos were big improvements, the old instagram logo in particular was terrible and they improved it a lot. --- I just decided to change this sig. The explanation for the change doesn't actually explain anything. It's like they went "We're using too much of our budget on the old logo, we need to simplify it"
