Did you know the vaccine is not a 100% guarantee protection and that it greatly reduces chances of contraction and death?

Fully Vaccinated Michigan Couple who both contracted COVID-19 died of the virus ONE MINUTE APART!!

59 y/o Carl and Linda Dunham, who had undisclosed health conditions both contracted the virus as relatives said in a post both had "gained their angel wings" despite taking precautions against the virus and being inoculated

The couple fell ill after going on a camping trip and Sarah, their daughter said "My dad called me before our family camping trip and said he wasn't feeling good but he thinks it's just like sinus and my mom caught it and she's like, he gave me this cold"

The third day they woke her up and said they've go tot go because they don't feel so well and she panicked and immediately took them to the hospital and left the camping ground

They were both hospitalized within days and placed on ventilators as both suffered pre-existing conditions too.

They were there since early September buts sadly died together while holding hands when Cal passed away at 11:07am and his wife died at 11:08am

Cal updated his FB profile with a border May 15th picture to reflect his vaccination

Friends commented on them being awesome for getting the vaccine

Kendra DeYoung launched a gofundme for the family and described Linda as a second mom who helped her in hr years including her first heartbreak, speeding ticket and decorating her first house

Vaccines have been scientifically proven to reduce the risk of getting the virus and severely reduce symptoms as unvaccinated are 10 times more likely to be hospitalized and 11 times more likely to die.

It's not yet known how long immunity lasts but people with moderately or severely compromised immune systems are especially vulnerable and could be unable to build the same level of immunity even with 2 doses as a 3rd booster shot will be needed

The Dunham family are still urging people to get vaccinated and to reduce the risk of contraction and even death as they are grateful for the vaccine and that people should not let their guard down

Anti-vaxxers have misled the public claiming even fully vaccinated people are dying from it and that the vaccine does nothing but studies have already shown that the vaccines are not 100% guaranteed from contracting it as there is still a slim chance, particularly those with pre-existing condition but it greatly reduces chances of death with over 90% protection

Do you know the vaccine is not a guarantee you will survive COVID-19 if you get it but it only greatly reduces your risk of getting it or dying from it?

While it's tragic that they lost their lives, a couple dying a minute apart is... idk. Anyway, it's a reminder that vaccinations aren't enough of a solution, and that people should try to isolate as much as they can.

It's really stupid and reckless that many companies are rolling back their COVID telecommuting practices even as the virus resurges.

Anti vaxer Claims (cant call them logic) that a vaccine doesnt work because it doesnt offer 100% protection like a force field is absurd on its face.

imagine how stupid they sound when the same thought process is applied to bullet proof vests and if you applied their absurdist claims about other forms of protextive gear or tools that reduce but dont offer 100% protections.

maybe we should do away with seat belts bullet proof vests condoms bike helmets computer anti virus programs eating healthy etc etc etc apply their claims to any other form of preventative protection they seem even more absurd.

Ah. I see....
Still no vaccine is 100% as far as I know so even with it and boosts you can still get COVID sure.

Nah. Did that far too much already in the UK when we had multiple lockdowns. Life needs to carry on somehow.

You still have people complain about seat belts, particularly since they're used as a way for cops to impose fines on motorists. Not sure if that can also be used as a legal justification for a stop.

Thats a shame, cant really blame vaccine not being 100% when they were elderly.

I guess if you have a weak immune system you just need to stay inside for another year...

Your account is from 2007, so you're likely at least in your 20s, so you're old enough that you shouldn't be thinking of 59 as elderly. 59 isn't even retirement age.

The virus has a 99.7% survival rate. Sorry to hear that this couple did not make it. And if the "vaccines" offer little protection, but their side effects that far outweigh the benefits, then it is foolish to proceed.

The problem is that information about vaccine injury gets censored by both mainstream media and social media. Big Tech do not want the truth to be known. It is a matter of time until the truth gets exposed.

The virus has killed 0.2% of the total US population, let alone the ~13.5% of Americans that have actually been infected. I don't know where you and everyone else that cites that "99.7%" figure are getting it from, but that source really needs to check their math.

The vaccines (no quotes needed; they are vaccines, and I'm not sure where this push to pretend they aren't is coming from) do offer considerable protection, though, and their benefits far outweigh the side effects.

That's not even a million people out of a 330 million+ population.

It's 700,000 deaths out of 329 million people. That it's pulled that off in less than two years makes it significantly more deadly than pretty much any other disease that's affected the US in recent memory. That's as many people as HIV has killed since 1981, for comparison.

That sentence was actually constructed properly, thanks to the "if" at the beginning. It's awkward and I had to read it a few times to figure out the actual intended syntax, but the grammar isn't wrong.

My point being that 700k out of a population of 300 million is a drop in the hat.

My point being that 700k out of a population of 300 million is a drop in the hat.

Quick math to start the comparison: 700k deaths since March 1, 2020 averages out to 442,100 deaths per year.
https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/deaths.htm

If 2020 and 2021 are statistically similar to 2019 (similar number of deaths, similar breakdown):

  • Covid will account for 15.5% of all deaths in the US
  • Covid will be the 3rd-highest cause of death, beaten only by heart disease and cancer
  • Covid will kill more people than the 5th, 6th, and 7th causes (chronic respiratory disease, strokes, alzheimer's) combined

You are correct that 0.2% of the population dying doesn't mean that America is at risk of being single-handedly wiped out by Covid, but Covid is nonetheless an extremely significant source of mortality, especially for a single contagious disease that acts so quickly (neither heart disease nor cancer can claim any of those points). That should not be diminished.

I'm not seeing it. Only would be correct if "that" is omitted or if "their" was supposed to be "there are"
