Suprak the Stud 09/28/21 10:03:17 AM #305:	HOT TOP 10 PREDIX Ghido - I could easily see Ghido getting top five if the cards break right. I feel like half the Ktjn crew is just looking for a joke character to support, and if Ghido can outlast her I think he easily has the strength to power through to the top. Ktjn - She has a core of at least six people maining her. If they trade even one time that gets her a guaranteed 12 saves plus whatever else she can scrounge up. Id be surprised if she goes out any earlier than 8th or so. Galuf - Hes picking up support at the right time and good support of people that are willing and eager to trade. Another character Im expecting a very high finish from. Rikku - I think one of YRP is going to have a really deep run, and Im prettying sure it wont be the P. Beyond that its pretty much a guess on my part who will get that extra push. I just like Rikku so Im sliding her in here instead of Yuna. Sorry Yuna. Estinien - The last XIV representative and another one who seems to have consolidated a lot of strength as peoples mains began dropping. I dont quite know what XIVs maximum support will be, but there seems to be a fairly good number of fervent supporters of that game so Im gonna guess somewhere around a 8/9 finish, possibly higher depending if they have hidden support anywhere. Aeris - I cant even guess how FF7 will shake out but I think definitely one (and maybe two!) of Aerith/Barret/Sephiroth make the top ten. I think Aerith has the best chance to pick up support as characters drop or those three. Kefka - A character so strong hes picking up support of people who havent even been on the board for 15 years! When jp or Shake show up, were all just going to be fighting for second place. Sephiroth - I thought hed be the first VII to go out of the final five, but I think the right characters dropped to get him the support he needs to stick around. Im probably least certain about him as I have no clue where the last couple of votes he needs to crack the top ten come from, but Im just gonna guess he gets another supporter somewhere. Agrias - FFT support is now consolidated around Agrias and while I dont think she gets quite the swell that Delita did last year, I dont think a run to the top 10 is out of the question. Freya - Likely the last FFIX standing, which should come with enough of a boost to reach the top ten. Theres my totally wrong and barely informed guesses! --- Moops? But really it's because, in the end I'm just one person accountable for 2 or 3 saves out of ever-increasing requirements, so much is out of my hands. It's a lot of luck and a lot of hoping that people who like your characters save your characters... it's all a team effort in the end. So actively focusing on the round through two hours is the proverbial "watched pot", yeah there's the excitement of seeing saves for your characters come in, but it's not like you actively surveying the topic made those saves happen (Schrodinger's Favorite Final Fantasy Characters?) Anyways this is all hypocritical because the contest takes an increasing amount of my headspace as we get closer to the end, thinking about the round before it starts, thinking about the result after, and yeah, thinking about the round as it's actively going on. I get way too invested in a game that's so far outside my or any individual user's control, it's a recipe for disaster & heartbreak. I was thinking about this the other day when FFD was commenting on how it was still impacting him too, after all these years.
