Why the hell wouldn't you put at least 32GB in that?

Like don't get me wrong - 16GB is fine in and of itself, but when seeing the really high-end specs you've gone for elswhere, I'd expect at least 32GB if not 64GB RAM.

This is what I have and over a year later Ive only used like half of the SSD(most of it being like 3 games) and maybe a quarter of the HDD

Youll be fine for awhile and its easy to add storage which will be even cheaper by the time you start running out

Yeah, yeah it is. It'd be cheaper if I bought the parts slowly and assemble it myself, I just don't have that time right now.

Its simple geometry when you think about it. The 360mm radiator has 50% more surface area than the 240mm. That provides better cooling. Because the 5000-series ryzen chips run hotter already, it's a good idea to havr a bigger radiator with a triple fan setup to cool it.
I currently have a 240mm radiator cooling my Ryzen 7 5700x and it runs around 80C under load which isnt great.

It's my next planned upgrade and you might want to take note of your temperatures when you start multitasking since you're using this for streaming.

I have a dumbass question. This is coming from someone who is kind of new to IT but just started going to school for computer science, so trying to figure stuff out

What made you pick the specs that you picked? Probably an idiot question, but did you look up what graphics card worked for what game you're playing? Or was it strictly based on price? Was there anything you knew you absolutely needed in order to build it? Like "oh, this has got to be an Intel processor" or "I need at least 16 GB of RAM".

Just curious lol.

Great question and I'd be happy to answer! And the only dumb question is the unasked one.

I am normally an Intel guy, but I read the latest 56chipset by amd happens to be better than the i9.

The graphics card is the best of the best because I play a lot of VR games I stream them 5 nights a week! And that requires a lot of graphics processing, plus I 3D model for fun and that can render off either the GPU or CPU depending on what you're doing.

You'll also notice everything I could is Corsair, I have good experience with that brand in the past and generally you run into less incapability issues if as many things as possible are the same brand.

I also have a great analogy about computer hardware a teacher told me in college I'll write up when I'm free.

A computer is like a full service library where you sit down at a desk and the librarian brings you books.

The case is the building itself, it can be big and comfy and less cramped or small and compact. If it's bigger it's usually better for airflow, but often it doesn't matter much.

The RAM is the size of the desk you sit at. A bigger desk means you can have a lamp, stapler, several open books, a snack, and other useful things open on the desk at once.

The graphics card is how pretty the desk and everything on it is, a bad graphics card is a cheap Ikea desk, a good one is a mahogany desk.

The hard drive is how many bookshelves you have to store everything.

The processer is the librarian, if you have an old librarian it'll take her a while to go get your books and put them away. If you have a great one then you have a 20 year old on rollerblades.

That's my computer hardware analogy and I hope it helps @pojr !
