Although I am thankful for the employer taking some/most/all of the cost of insurance, I hate the system since we have to rely on the company/plans the company takes.

As an example, I work for a company that works closely with the state and federal government and as such have decent benefits, however with the good insurance company we have, for reasons no one can explain to me, I can only get reoccurring prescriptions at CVS. I can get one offs anywhere I want, but my needed medications I have to get from CVS which annoys me more than it probably should.

Yes, my job offers it . . . and then takes it out of our paychecks.

But you can just get them mailed to you anyway so the pharmacy location doesn't even matter

Take me for what I am -- who I was meant to be.
And if you give a damn, take me baby, or leave me.

Its not the fact of where I have to travel, its forcing my hand on who to do business with.

Part of the reason I went from contract to full time at the company I work for is they are a payroll company that provides benefits to other companies. Their good health insurance is literally one the selling points for our company, so yea, it is decent. Plus they have a emergency "savings account" that all employees pay into, so even if insurance doesn't cover all the expenses of a procedure the company can cover several thousand more.

After 16 years, I have decided my signature will NOT be about my job! But I still don't know what to put here so...yea...

Health insurance comes from the government, because Canada. Technically, drug, dental, and other miscellaneous coverage (physiotherapy and the like) also comes from both the government and my employer, but that's because my employer is the government.
