A neighbor family started taking ivermectin a month or so ago. In a supremely shocking twist, all 5 of them have come down with COVID since then.

Since 2018 for arthritis. He's actually vaccinated (Moderna)

yes. my three step-siblings aren't vaccinated and it really pisses me off.

one refuses it because she's 35 and hasn't had a child yet so she's ultra paranoid about anything interfering with her ability to have children. i explained to her multiple times that there is exactly zero evidence that suggests the vaccine will affect her reproductive facilities and she literally doesn't care. she said "there's no way you can PROVE to me that it will have ZERO effect on that years down the line, or that it won't have any effect on my unborn children". i was speechless and just rolled my eyes. really pisses me off.

another step sibling literally thinks his immune system is all powerful and he doesn't need the vaccine. i explained to him that he can carry the virus and spread it to others even without him feeling sick and he shrugged it off. really pisses me off

another step sibling has fallen down the MAGA hole thanks to his batshit crazy father (who is literally a Scientologist). he rambles on and on about the same anti-vax bullshit you hear from the MAGA crowd. really pisses me off.

i'm going to probably refuse to hang out with any of them indoors once the fall hits.

one of my buddies won't get it because it says it goes against his religious beliefs. he's pretty Catholic and even though the Church signed off and said it's fine, he still refuses it because of how stem cells were used in the research. i explained to him that the actual vaccines contain no stem cells, but he doesn't care.

my gfs uncle is anti vax and takes ivermectin tablets that he ordered online from India. He loves debating me on it since Im a pharmacist and despite me telling him theres no evidence he says the studies have convinced him because he has a science background (hes always worked as a handyman and does not have any kind of science background).

Anti-vax? No. Although my grandparents have been coming up with some crazy ass conspiracy theories about corona and the vaccine. Which is strange, since none of them have ever had any problems taking us to get our vaccines when we were little. I can understand being leery of if being pushed out too quickly, especially considering they are in their 70s, because I was at first as well. But the microchip and population control thing is nonsense. At least my grandmother is smart enough to mask up and sprays down the house and car with lysol.

No one i know is dumb enough to take de wormer.

An HS friend - after a troubled 15 year period, including jail - became a nurse. Everyone was happy for her until she came out as anti-vax despite seeing "dozens" of people die from COVID.

She had every conspiracy down to memory despite working with people who could explain what was wrong with the conspiracy theories on a daily basis.

Everyone froze her out but since the state of CA made her get the shot to keep her job things are back to normal.

I know like 3 anti-vaxxers one of which is a first cousin.

As dumb as they are, I don't think they have taken ivermectin.

I know one anti-vaxxer (a cousin), but they're not taking or pushing Ivermectin as far as I'm aware.

I use "anti-vaxxer" loosely. They're not active in that community or anything; they are just adamant they're not taking the vaccine.

Last person I knew who was anti-vax was like... 6 years ago or so, and she was very adamant about it to the point where she didn't even get her pets vaccinated which was terrible.

Thankfully no. The one person I know who hates wearing masks and thinks if I die, I die before the vaccine came out got the vaccine as soon as she was able to.

My sister and her fiance are both unvaccinated nurses who swear ivermectin is the miracle drug and it gives me a headache to interact with them.

I also had about 5-6 cousins in the Midwest (Ohio) that were anti-vaxxers. They are dead from COVID. I didn't know them well.

One or my best friends didn't think Covid was a big deal so him and his gf didn't get vaxxed. Him and his gf both ended up in the ICU. She was released after about a week. He was deteriorating and had to be air lifted to a different hospital for ecmo treatment. Doctors said he has a 45-50% chance of survival. But the damage to his lungs and heart is irreversible.

All because he couldn't be bothered to get a needle prick or two. Unbelievable to me.

One woman I work with had an attitude about potentially being required to get vaccinated, and didnt want to get her daughter vaccinated because she has a nut allergy. Pretty sure they arent putting pistachios in the vaccines but okay

But, I heard all this last school year, so idk if she still feels that way. I fucking hope shes gotten vaccinated since she keeps taking her mask off indoors.

I have some aunts, uncles, and cousins and my mom's side that are anywhere between vaccine hesitant to full-blown anti-vax. No ivermectin though.

Which is weird because my grandma, the matriarch of the family, is extremely pro-vaccination. When they announced that the booster was going to be a thing she immediately drove to Walmart and asked to be put on the sign-up list. They told her that she was still gonna have to wait awhile and they are still figuring it out.

My mom is and so are my aunt and uncle. My uncle got it because he had lymphatic cancer recently but was basically pressured into it by all his doctors. And he had a shitty nurse do it that didn't answer his questions so of course he's using that as a weapon against getting it.

I've cut ties with a TON of people since the pandemic started. Most of it was pretty natural due to the nature of lockdown and people easing into hanging out and being more selective with who to be around. Like I'm only gonna hang out with people that I really like, because if I get covid and/or spread covid then it better have been doing something I really enjoyed. I'd be way more pissed if it happened with someone I didn't like.

So no, everyone in my circle is very pro vax and pro covid safety precautions.

I haven't talked to my dad in 9 months though and he was a Trump supporter so I have no clue if he ever got vaccinated or what he believes these days. He is also a straight up hermit who never ever left his house pre covid so I'm not terribly worried about him.

Yes, a few of my co workers don't trust it and one of them says he would once the FDA approved it, then when it was approved he moved the goalposts saying stuff like it will take 10 years till he can take this thing! -_-
