For competitive pro players, this wouldn't surprise me. An extra set of eyes can point out things you might not notice yourself.

Yes? This has been a thing for awhile, its gotten a surge in popularity due to things like Fortnite, it's mostly parents hiring someone to engage with thier child, like a babysitter kinda.

Yes this is fairly popular with Dota2 and CSGO. Dota2 actually has a coaching system built in.

It makes enough sense. There are plenty of games out there (especially competitive ones) that become vastly more fun (and, in some cases, only become fun) once you get past the initial learning curve, so having some advice to get past that will ultimately make the game more enjoyable.

I've got a reasonable grasp of how to make use of logic gates and whatnot, I just struggle with some of the vanilla transmission mechanics because they're so unintuitive. Vertical signal transmission in particular makes very little sense. I much prefer to include mods that offer some manner of wiring system, like Redpower used to (which also condense logic gates into single tiles).

Mostly, he's surprised that people would want actual coaches for video games and is wondering if that's actually a widespread thing or if he's just stumbled across a weird niche.
