I got to the 3rd disk without using the draw system once. I had only 3 GFs also. It was a long time ago and I was a fuckin moron. I later learned that you can get more GFs and begged my parents to buy the guide. I re-started the game and got 100%. First game I really got 100%.

Yeah I got to the final boss with zero use of the junction system. Had I abused my hero drinks I coulda won. But I'm a item hoarder like some people. Basically used gfs as meat shields

You can only draw Aura from one enemy in the game (I'm aware of) so make sure you get plenty when you get the opportunity

I understand people not liking a particular plot twist. But I didnt mind it. Only thing I scrutinized was the villains plan it didn't make sense to me how it works

This happens when you lack VIT junctions. You can also solve this by using the auto-protect ability.

Just beat the first boss at the top of the tower and got wrecked towards the end. Makes me feel like I wasn't set up right

IIts the time compression I don't understand. Ok I get past present and future come into one. But say in the distant past there was a empty plot of land. Then a building got built. Go foward 20 years they expanded and made it bigger. Go foward 100 now its in ruins and abandoned. Then 50 years its being torn down and a new building built. So how does all that come together in one point when time is compressed?

Yeah make sure to draw all bosses never know when one has a gf. Missed a few my first time cause I hate wasting turns with actions that aint damage dealing or healing.

It's not so much that objects are physically occupying the exact same areas in space but rather the events of different times are happening simultaneously. Things from the past can take actions in the future without ever leaving the past and so on.

Chrono Trigger spoilers:
Think of it kind of like how the Black Omen was in every time at the same time. Now apply that to the whole planet.

Also, the best advice I can give for the normal card game with no rule alterations is to always look a step ahead.

if you flip a card over, what sides of your card are exposed for taking? What sides of the opponents card are vulnerable?

Also, a safe opening move is if you have a strong card strong on two sides and weak on the opposite sides you can just place it in the corner. You should study his hand to make sure he cannot flip it back.

Also look at the opponents cards to scope out his moves before you make yours. Before you play a card, you need to check and see how he could flip it. If you find those situations where you can play a card and flip something he cannot take its exposed sides by studying his hand, you will win more often. If you can prevent him from taking both cards, that is a win, but you should be flipping at lot.

Question marks mean it's an ability or GF you haven't drawn before so either way just draw them.

Like having people and events from the past occuring at the same time wouldnt that change things or do they carry on like a person/event from the future is going on right next to them?

The only thing you need to learn is using GFs to junction your stats up and you'll steam roll through the game. And don't level grind

Squall is actually OP. Compared to the rest of the party. Only Rinoa can keep up.

Nobody got close. But squall being the MC he got first dibs on anything to make him stronger. Like id junction the best spells for strength to him first and the others got the leftovers based on who i realistically felt should do more damage

I was talking regular attack damage but ok. Yeah Irvine was my go to guy for pooring on the damage with limits

So I just got to the tutorial about junction statuses. For some reason when I try to do it like the tutorial example I don't get the option to select anything to junction on Squall. Is it because I haven't unlocked it with the GFs or something?

Yep. The tutorials are pretty stupid with this.

From memory the skills under GL have a name like Jt-HP or something along those lines. When the GL learns those you can junction magic to the applicable stat.

You have to do it before the Timber mission I believe. You just keep talking to Cid

You can use it anytime in the overworld. Make sure to save as it's a boss fight.

Squall has the strongest normal attack in general for most of the game due to being able to use the trigger for a 1.5X damage critical. If you ever do something as absurd as maxing out all of the stats, his normal attack becomes the weakest because everyone else benefits more from the constant criticals.

Its a tough fight early game but also better to get him as early as possible. One of the best gfs imo for dealing with regular enemies once you get him to lvl 100.just save your game and try it out and gauge yourself when you think you'll be able to win.
