Yeah, CVS and 2 of my co-workers are going to Costco. I have applications there and at hospitals so far
If you get in let us know so I can tag you as Costco. I'm making 29.75 as a supervisor here plus bonuses every 6 months. I'm assuming y'all get more though so let me know what it is so I can be bitter about it lol

DM is literally trying to gaslight people and say CVS has always tried to resolve our issues. Still being deliberately vague when anyone asks about more hours.

Lead tech was told she should reconsider her Costco offer because "the grass won't be greener" and she'll lose her 3 weeks of vacation and be without health insurance temporarily. That was the big sell.

Nope. When Best Buy laid us all off, we had to use up our vacation days to get paid for them.

Certain states might require it, though.

Big whoop. I came back from vacation 2 days ago and I'm already wishing I was off again. Time off doesn't help you when shit is still overwhelming 24/7.

"New jobs have an adjustment period and you'll need to build your vacation back up" is not really an argument why someone should stay.

Costco gives coverage to all full timers I think. After 3 months for part timers and per diem workers. It's 40 bucks a month, 6 for dental.

This would make me quit even harder. The people at the top know all the complaints but choose to ignore them to help the bottom line. And its genuinely hilarious that theyre trying to say that Costco, one of the most admired retail employers out there, wouldnt be better than CVS.

Bro, this shit is insane.

Today, we never had more than 2 techs and a pharmacist and I was alone with the pharmacist for the last 3 hours. Wr had 5-8 phone calls on hold consistently for an hour.

But supposedly we're plenty well-staffed to handle counting drugs, helping customers both inside and outside, answering the phones, and doing the non-customer facing shit that needs to be done.

We haven't even done our daily return-to-stocks for 4 days because that is a task that should now be done by a pharmacist before opening or after closing. This shit used to get done without an issue when we had goddamn hours. It's so sad.

And now it's the weekend and instead of it being a chance to get other things done, we'll just continue drowning in our eternally backed-up production queue in between helping customers. Oh, and corporate will demand answers if we don't find the time to do our weekend marketing calls to patients.

A co-worker described it today as "an endless waking nightmare"

I assume the pharmacist is doing that on unpaid time? At least if its anything like Walgreens, your time paid begins the second the pharmacy opens and ends the second it closes.

Ya, they totally made that push.

It was so conspicuous the other day, that is, if you weren't distracted by the jackhammering in the Pharmacy Department.

Also their bags have gone to shit....and there was a new overnight manager there.

~Something is going on up top....it's a shit show, I can tell.

My guess is, and I've seen this before, things went well for them for the last year or so....so they thought they were hot shit, and now they are making changes that don't make sense. They won't go under, because it is a Drug Store. But somebody, somewhere is making ripples where they don't need to be made.

Because we nEeD tO sTaY aT pRoDuCtIoN

They want the pharmacist to do literally everything so the tech hours we don't have can be spent solely on production, which doesn't get done because what the fucking fuck. No one is gonna let the lines in and outside the store wrap around the building, and the phone blow up, to stand and count pills. They need to provide the hours.

They are still under the impression that weekends are slow and that we aren't doing 500 scripts a day with the staffing budget of a 100 script store.

Corporate crunched the numbers and our DM can point to the graphs and show us that things should be able to get done.

In March, our metrics score was a perfect 100. It's sub 50 now. I guess we all just got really stupid or something and can't do our jobs like we used to. No other explanation

No. This is the country that fired the air traffic controllers. It took 10 years to get staffing up to previous levels and these were the levels that forced the previous controllers to strike at risk of losing their jobs.

I can't afford to quit, but there's a possibility I could at least be moving to a store in another district along with everyone else still at our store. That would be a decent stopgap if my applications strike out.

I've heard lots of chatter that people have been lodging anonymous complaints directly to the board of pharmacy. Trying to trigger an investigation like is going on in Ohio and Missouri.

My PIC's wife is a long-time employee of the company. She crunched the numbers and found that her store had TRIPLE the hours 4-5 years ago. It has to be a similar case here based on my experience. And we do a good 100-150 more scripts a day than we did back then.

DM said that we are "almost" a high volume store, yet we are given some of the least hours in his entire district and he demands PIC explain, in writing, why we were 5 hours over budget two weeks ago.

PIC basically did this today on the phone and quit on the spot.

He was told that we should be grateful how much effort (read: removed one pharmacist who was "too slow" and nothing else) has gone into fixing the pharmacy specifically. And that "no other store is struggling with their amount of hours", which is funny because we literally had a floating technician here who works at stores worse than us every day. That's literally her job.

DM's assistant called us this morning to ask PIC why we hadn't caught up 3 hours after opening since they were so generous to give us extra hands to bail us out again.

Ya, I just got cancelled at one of my jobs...there is an issue going on there. I won't get into their reasons, but I know it's bull.

I quite literally have a reference in my back pocket...of those work pants...as I had two jobs, that urged me to leave a few weeks ago.

Maybe for the better, but I would like to go like a week or two without some kind of mind-blowing life change.

I feel less worried and more betrayed.

Long story short, they completely overworked my manager, she kinda had a breakdown..she either left or was let go.
I, being one of her hires, was let go as well...on questionable terms. ((They brought in one of their investors to 'help out'))~Do the math on that.

That place is shooting itself in the foot, and they probably won't make it. There were signs of that before I left. I could get a shit job, but kinda fun job tomorrow if I wanted to that would take me through the summer. Shit because it doesn't pay....fun because, it's a fun job.

And anyway, I still have my backup job, and they still like me.
