I do not know where that poster is coming from but I do know that being able to quit your job does not give adequate control over your future. Let me point out that the situation at the Topeka Frito Lays plant would not have improved if people quit their jobs instead of striking as a group.

The very fact that so many laws have been passed (and revoked) to cripple unions testifies that unions are a benefit to the working poor.

A co-worker ghosted yesterday and has cut off all contact with anyone at the store. Nothing to do with the ongoing saga, though. She was just a bad employee who called out a lot.

The floating pharmacist who temporarily holds power of attorney for our store told me that there is a possibility that our store will be closed down if they can't find a permanent PIC. No one wants the job in this district.

Well, the lady in charge of that at the one hospital has been out of the office since the day after my interview, which was just over a week ago, so there's still hope there. Another hospital that closed the opening the day after I applied just reopened the posting. I'm just throwing out whatever apps I can in the meantime.

Well, all our extra help is gone and we collapsed back to shit quciker than Afghanistan. I'm texting and emailing everyone I can think of that can get me out of here in case my other prospects dry up.

We have 2 semi-regular floating pharmacists, random one-off floaters, 3 full-time techs including me, one part-timer with very limited availability, and whatever techs or interns from other stores we can beg to pick up the hours we have no one to schedule for.

Like I said, I'm scheduled into overtime every week for the foreseeable future. We're basically back to our 2 techs at a time shit from last month.
