Only the most skilled and highly trained officers should be trusted with guns as part of their uniform. If you and your fellow officers can't chase down a suspect, handcuff them without choking them to death, and get them into your patrol vehicle without resorting to guns, then you don't deserve to be a police officer. There are way too many cops who are absolute sissies, and I'm probably being too conservative with that assessment. If you are carrying that gun because you live in constant fear, tinkling your trousers at the sight of your own shadow, then quit the police force and join a monastery. Atkin and another officer, Raymond Wilhelm, then lifted Breinholt out of the chair to take the shoe as Longman stood outside the small room. Oh f---, hes got my gun! Atkin yelled. Hes got my gun! The video appears to show Breinholt, still handcuffed, with his hand on the officers gun as Wilhelm and Atkin started to wrestle with him. The gun was not removed from its holster. Longman rushed into the room, pulling his firearm as he grabbed Breinholts head. He yelled, Youre about to die, my friend, and fired the fatal shot. It all happened in six seconds. Good shoot. If you try and grab an officer's gun, even if you don't get control of it, you will get shot and rightfully so.
