And I'd occasionally watch soccer (mostly just World Cup in the tournament stage). Most other sports have always bored me (and I suspect I only ever really found hockey and soccer interesting because I played both while I was in high school/college). But pretty much everything I used to watch found ways to piss off, annoy, or otherwise drive me away (mainly by being boring), so at this point I have no real interest in any sports. Funny thing is I despised football at school because I was horrible at it and our games master in PE forced us to play it almost every week because he was a footy nutcase. The only time we focused on something else was during track season, which I was good at. I only got into football as an adult through listening to BBC World Service the radio commentators are much better than shitty TV pundits. As for the Euros LOL. As soon as it went to penalties I knew it was curtains for England. The best team won in the end though. The manager was awful in that whole match with his defensive garbage but it's the players copping most of the abuse.
