geoguessr runs are usually races yeah. lately they haven't been very close though so i guess they've been trying different things

for some reason another geoguessr run is actually the last game on the ESA schedule (later this month)

Been busy so I've been forced to watch most of this on VOD but omfg this Paper Mario run is the most galaxy brain shit I've ever seen.

OoT so broken it literally breaks other games now.Lines you'd never imagine hearing in a Paper Mario run: "Okay, so now I have to get the Kokiri Sword and some rupees." and "And now the Ocarina of Time portion of the run is over."

Well, it is

Dragon Quest III fastest time now requires swapping from DQ3 to Dr. Mario, to Kirby, back to Dr. Mario, then to Final Fantasy, and finally back to Dragon Quest III. This is an improvement from the previous strategy of put your Famicom on a hotplate until the RAM values get fucked up

I agree but the best thing about not having an audience is them having these showcases of weird stuff they normally wouldn't, in particular the rhythm games which would never get played at a live event just due to the hardware needed.

Watching happyfeetz in past events + this crazy washing machine game have been by far the biggest highlights for me.

Definitely, but some of the runs are still crazy to watch, and I think the Dancerush Stardom one was the best of the bunch so far, given the relay with the couch at the end.

I'm surprised they're still hitting those big donation numbers. Literally noone I know that used to be big into the GDQs has cared about them in the last 2-3 years. Mainly because their game selection and sidelining of entertaining runners in favour of complete nobodies that aren't the record holder in their category.
