For real?

You have the right to vote, and you can work any job you want barring those that require mainly require men(military, and any job that requires good physical endurance).

I should be able to choose if I want to carry a pregnancy.

I shouldn't need my husband's or doctor's (psych) approval if I want a hysterectomy.

I should receive the same medical care, and my symptoms and concerns should not be dismissed. This especially effects black women.

I should be able to work the same job at the same rate without being sexually harassed or objectified.

I really could keep going on..

You shouldn't need your HUSBAND'S approval if you want a hysterectomy? Jeeze that means you really disrespect your husband if you can't even try to have consensus on that, or if you strongly didn't want kids beforehand that should've been something you talked about BEFORE YOU GOT MARRIED.

I know I'll get shit for this but completely irregardless of however reality may or may not be, whether women truly are oppressed or not, they have a biological predisposition towards feeling like they are.

Basically evolution has run in such a way that women are more prone to see/recognize danger more often than men so that they can respond more quickly to protect themselves and their children since whatever danger they're recognizing probably comes from something physically more powerful than them. If an ancient man sensed danger it could be a situation where he might be able to fight (or even one where he would be compelled to fight) instead of flee, but an ancient women often couldn't and wouldn't have even been expected to fight so fleeing and seeking help was the go to. Just like how creating artificial light hasn't erased our evolutionary fear of the dark fully even though we live in much, much, much more peaceful times that danger sense women have is still active and will ping because of things that often aren't truly huge issues.

I say all that but men actually have the opposite problem in that they often underestimate danger or write off warning signs (which is one of the main reasons young men die so much more doing stupid stuff than young women do) so maybe my manly dullness is what is making me think what I think.

They should. Although both these problems just seem like they would spawn from a dysfunctional relationship in the first place so I don't really care too much about them in the end.

No you dumbo, just divorce and then get the hysterectomy then if you want it so much.

People in relationships should absolutely be discussing decisions like sterilization before proceeding with them, because that's just the healthy way to do things, but that doesn't mean anyone should need their partner's approval to proceed with it. The law is not responsible for fixing relationship problems.

They would (and should, in any healthy relationship), but a doctor won't refuse to perform the procedure if you don't have her approval. That's the key difference.

We've come a long way but historical oppression doesn't just vanish because we change a few laws. Changing laws helps, but a lot of people still hold regressive attitudes. When it comes to laws we have changed some have risks of backsliding, so the fight has to continue.

I don't believe it's a formal legal requirement (not in the US, anyway), but it is fairly common for doctors to refuse to perform the procedure on a woman without her husband's permission. While I haven't confirmed this, that most likely means some guy has successfully sued a doctor for giving his wife a hysterectomy without his permission (since avoiding malpractice suits is a very common motivator for doctors refusing procedures they have no obvious reason to refuse), which in turn means there's legal precedent for encouraging doctors to get that permission.

Not they can't , they don't care for it or stick with it long.

In my 30 years at my job , the women tend to be more consistently competent ; but they quickly get tired of the heat , dirtiness, and repetiveness of the machining work.
I've had one women coworker last more than 5 years , most lasting less than two . while several dozen men have put in 10+ years.

I grew up during the 70s and 80s and it was far worse then for women than now. I'm not going to cite examples of stuff that happened to me because it'd be far too much to write. Just some minor stuff is like, I wanted to play drums in the school band and my music teacher forced me to take flute because "girls don't play the drums" (uh, Karen Carpenter?) When asked what we wanted to be when we grew up, I said a fireman, and my 3rd grade teacher laughed out loud and she said "women can't be firemen!!" and the whole class laughed at me. They might seem trivial but when stuff like this happens day in and day out, it really starts to wear you down. It's people's attitudes all around. There were no fantasy movies that had strong women in them, females were always helpless princesses who needed to be saved. My parents were just as discouraging. The stuff that people complain about now often makes me think, wow, they never would have survived back then.

It wasn't meant as an all encompassing condemnation of all women , just a noticable trend in a particular field.

My wife knew more about tools , cars , and wiring when we met than I did, just like I knew more about household work due to my single working mother needing help around the house while her married stay-at-home mother did almost everything around the house.

I worked in a warehouse for a while. Women didn't do it. We had a woman come in for an interview and tour and while she was touring the place it was pretty obvious she was like naw. Lol. Not that warehouse work is a desirable job. But many men come and go through that job. Zero women had any interest. Most wouldn't have the physical ability either

An Amazon warehouse is a bit different from, say, a shipping warehouse. You can work in them as the type of person who stows/picks items from bins which, while certainly requiring some strength, doesn't require the same amount of strength that lifting and moving a massive crate would require.

That said, even if there are very few (if any) jobs in which being a specific gender is required there certainly are a BUNCH of sex-based negative stereotypes. Like, for example, a male teacher (especially for young children) being a pervert who gives good grades in return for sex while a female teacher doing the same... gets much mess negative reception. Or a female mechanic being dismissed as a secretary or low-end even if she's the head mechanic.

It's a complicated issue because you can't legislate how people act/react and these stereotypes exist for reasons (even if they're stupid/horrible ones).

If that's the only thing you do, sure. But there's also a lot fewer openings for that sort of position than the more basic, mundane, positions. Plus I would expect they'd desire/prefer prior experience which usually happens with construction jobs.
