I've always liked mages

Id go battle mage if I had to pick a mage

Warrior/Mage hybrids, or the edgy warrior-esque stuff like Dark Knights. If I see anything named like that, Paladin, or melee-focused Cleric stuff then I'm usually drawn to it over other things.

Mages are fun but it's too different than my next favourite (Thief/whatever has the "Steal" ability). To play a mage, you really have to commit to a completely different playstyle.

In JRPGs, my preferred solution to a problem is to blow up the problem, and also a 400-foot radius around the problem. So casters. >_>

In WRPGs, I just want to steal shit and break into places Im not supposed to be. So thief/rogue

Caster tends to be the best usually.

Certain combinations of spells (Sneak + Invisibility) break certain games entirely.

Rogue. I love stealth so hard.

Mages. Healing and elemental spells are my jams.

Broadly, clerics

Smack things, wear armor, but get lots of healing and utility.

Not annoying like paladins

Red Mage. fighting plus buffs and debuffs with some offensive spells and light healing.
Good mix of all skills and a great costume.

Mostly Warrior, sometimes Rogue. Depends on the gameplay. Very rarely go magic in anything, and even when I'm a Rogue I'm using daggers rather than a bow. I always want to be up front.

More specifically, I can't pick a favorite between a 2H Berserker type vs Paladin, really enjoy both.

Monk fighters, or the closest equivalent. The high dexterity, speedy glass cannon.

I have a current playthrough on Skyrim where I dont fast travel at all and I focus heavily on bartering and speech and its been very rewarding for me so far.

Im not very high level with combat but I have so much gold I can buy whatever I want pretty much and I can make up for weaknesses by buying whatever kinds of potions I could possibly need to beat any enemy or whatever.

Usually the one unique to the game or not usual standard stuff.

Things like Blue mage/Necromancer/Dancer type of stuff.

Anything with stealth/sneak attack bonuses. Preferably with range, but I'm alright with getting up close and personal behind their backs if needed.

Shaman, I like being one with the elements.

Usually some sort of Paladin or Battlemage.

Warrior usually but I prefer being a S&S build.
