1 cousin, 1 uncle, a friend's mother, and one of my coworkers.

None, but a friend of a friend lost two of his brothers. I never met them, though.

1 guy, he was about 70 though and like 350 lbs,, surprised he was still alive, he had myriad of health conditions already

My mum got it, she's in a home with a 100 or so other older folk. About 15 of those others died. Mum was at risk for a while, but pulled through.

My mother-in-law caught it at the same time her sister did above (was also hospitalized at the same time), but she survived it.

A friend's father. I'm sure there'd be more if I talked to my extended family with any regularity.

It's sad when someone has a health scare, and they still don't quit smoking.

0 though several of my family members caught it. Some were in critical condition but pulled through

I found it funny when the Chauvin trial was going on, they had the nations leading pulmonologist on stand and he straight up said only 1 in 10 smokers have any change to their lungs

None that I know personally. Someone from my old church died from it. (He was young, but had a pre-existing condition.) There was another guy I know who was near deaths door for a month because of it. Ventilators and everything. He had a pretty powerful story to tell once he recovered.

None, my wife's family is taking it very seriously, and my grandparents and aunt and her husband are taking it seriously, the rest of my family is not.

Both my grandparents in their mid 80's tested positive and both made a quick recovery.

It might of been what killed my Grandpa, but he was already up there and had other health problems. Either they never found out or they just never told me. I don't know why they wouldn't tell me, but Iunno.

A friend of mine died of Covid. Literally killed by Covid in a hospital as he went from healthy to sick to dead over about ten days. He was 36.

a great aunt i barely knew and a few people i've known from work. my brother (38) and one of my cousins (20) are having long term problems from the virus though, heart damage/brain fog/extreme fatigue.

I have written quite a few death summaries, which makes for a very interesting conversation when people ask me "how do you know people are actually dying of COVID and not WITH COVID?"

Just one, thankfully.
My cousin's grandfather died of COVID-19. I knew him because he owned beachfront property in Mass that my family spent a week several summers at. Nice guy, stubborn, family was from Lebanon(I don't think he was first-generation though).
He was in his 90s and got it basically at the beginning, so he went quick. Aside from being in his 90s, he was pretty healthy and generally all there, so he could definitely have been around a while longer.
