Yeah queues usually aren't THAT bad at good hours for most regular content, even for DPS, basically anything that shows up in roulettes. You can occasionally hit 20 minutes or so, which was a lot worse back when I was doing MSQ and just sitting around than it is now when I have 50 other things I can be doing waiting for it to pop. Hell, sometimes I look at a queue and wish it was longer depending on what I'm doing.

I remember when I tried to pop Castrum for the first time at 2 in the morning it said 30+ min, and I just moped off to bed.

Actually I say that but I think I actually have wiped to the enrage in the 5.0 trial, though that was well after release so I don't know.

Sure, but even if the 5.0 finale wasn't hard, it was still cool and I got to actually treat the experience as a fight in 5.1. It's ridiculous that the final boss of the final dungeon feels like more of a struggle than the trial afterward.

I'm mostly frustrated by 3.0 and 3.3, which should be "holy shit" moments that get absolutely ruined by the boss melting like butter in the Sahara.

It actually is second to last, there is technically a second long cutscene immediately after that. You gotta walk like 10 feet over to start it, I imagine that altogether it was just longer than even they were comfortable with if they didn't split it up, lol.

Damn did the story go hard at the end there. What a crazy series of events. The double crossing was easy to predict and such, but everything else was a rush to watch. Though there was definitely some satisfaction in watching Raubaun murder Teledji, because fuck that guy.

Clearly all the scions aren't dead, so I'm interested in how this moves forward. But yeah, after a bunch of fetch quests, a few dungeons and trials, and things of that nature, those last 45-60ish minutes were crazy!

Yep. You can tell when you start getting into Heavensward content, too, as the voice actors change over from "putting on a fake accent" to "talking a bit more formally than normal" (as the voice actor staff moved from LA to London)

Eh, I'll spoil it since it's nothing grand- full inventory at the Junkmonger there, including:
Dotharli cloth
Access to buy housing items - Doman Dogwood, Fool's Portal, and a physical copy of the Enclave map.
Two Orchestrion rolls.
Access to the Yanxian Merchant Haori for transmog.

Also 40k cap of censoring items at 200% sellprice weekly. Still handy if you stock up on useless demimateria during desynth.

I remember hearing about about that, will investigate.

When I was leveling Dark Knight from 30 I was terrified of tanking and was zeroed in.

And then Gunbreaker I started at 60 obviously.

Now that I'm leveling Warrior I've come to an unfortunate realization: tanking ARR is BORIIIIIIIIING.

Not a whole lot to report. Did the level 50, 52, and 54 bard job quests, so now I have wanderer's minuet and empyreal arrow to add to my hotbars somehow (and pitch perfect). Did some MSQ as well, and seeing Bismarck soar through (and splash through) the clouds was pretty cool. Last quest I did was the 2 on 2 trial by combat against Gregor Cle.......uhh, I mean the temple knights. That was actually pretty cool, but the best part was being the best scion's champion! Tataru for life!

Alphinaud's VA is throwing me off a bit. I knew the VAs changed based on relocating, but it was a little jarring. I assume there will be others too.

Alphinaud took the longest for me to get used to.

Alphinaud tends to be the most jarring because you hear the change immediately and his HW VA is noticeably different from his ARR one.

(This would also extend to Tataru, but from I can see she is barely voiced in ARR so the shift doesn't feel as drastic)

The issue with Alphinaud is not only that it's very different, but also that his ARR one was one of the very few that was not only good, but actually great. Everyone else it can be jarring, but their old one was decent at best so you don't really care.

Is there real no indication of what sect you're in besides the buff, or does something on the gauge change once I unlock Nocturnal?

No, it's just the buff.

That said, if you're in a party and cast Aspected Benefic and you see a shield pop up, that's a good indication.

It's also feeling wierd for me. I'm not sure why? There doesn't seem to be anything inherintly off about it.

I think it may be the mindset that you have to actually play the card immediately, making it seem like your throwing out 2 GCDs of time as a healer, even though you definitely do not have to.

That Gunbreaker gap closer was not Rough Divide. Probably a trait upgrade?

Was that an RDM DOT maybe? Total guess, becauae I can't think of any other excuse for a new single target chargecast. Could be a trait upgrade but I don't think anyone is asking for that unless they intend to use it as an excuse for an overall RDM DPS buff.

Someone pointed out MCH has a shotgun, which is likely just a big AOE attack but is still pretty rad. Hopefully it's something that can be useful single-target too.

Also saw shots of a mega TBN on the DRK that looked like a miniature version of the LB.

Personally I haven't watched it yet and will just see it when the benchmark comes out tomorrow. Very excited to design my bunny boy. It's a shame the expac releases too late for bun guy summer.
