Fuck yeah more rain today. Great drinking weather.

Its hot af here today. Jumped into the lake for the first time since winter and it wasn't too bad. Usually this time of year the difference from air to water is brutal but its nice already if you don't wanna actually stay in the water.

Also Holy shit I was going too fast and aired a good 4 feet out of the 6 foot quarter at the skatepark (which is not big air at all, except I can't ride ramps for shit so its massive) and my life flashed before my eyes. I'm not hitting ramps again till I get a helmet.

There's a mountain near where I live. Me and my friends used to take our BMX bikes and ride up to this water tower and haul ass down hill because there was a series of hills that you got a shit ton of air on. I don't know how I didn't get severely injured considering I didn't have brakes on my bike.

Thats hard-core. I always ride at least a back brake, but almost all really good riders are brakeless now. Or they were till a few years ago and now brakes are coming back.

I tried riding brakeless for a bit when I was like 20 and you can slow down fine with a foot on the tire... but that shit won't work on a mountain trail. Lol

I had this really old shitty pair of shoes that I used as brakes by reaching my leg back and slamming it in the back tire. Pretty tricky when you're flying like 30mph downhill.

Yeah I did that for a while and its fine on pavement but i dunno how the fuck you didn't die flying downhill on a mountain trail. Lol

I jammed it in there enough to lock the wheel up so i'd slide until I slowed down enough that I could drift the bike out in the dirt and come to a complete stop.

Been around 90F here lately. About to get a lot worse real soon. Then we have our monsoon season in like July/August which means humidity and 110F temps. Not fun.

I live in a desert (well about 10k from the north end of a desert in a semi arid region) so its a dry heat here thankfully.

We get spring storms but not even many of those this year somehow except the random hail storm.

It'll get up to 45 (113) maybe 2 or 3 times a year. But by then humidity is fucking zero and I'm used to the heat. Couldn't imagine that sbit with high humidity.

It's fucking weird how similar places can look across huge distances. Its one of a kind in canada but yeah... a girl I knew sent me a pic of her somewhere by a lake in new mexico and i went and took a pic of me at a spot on the lake here that looks so fucking similar you could easily just say it was that spot in nm. Its like 6 minutes ride from my apartment and she lives around here too.

In retrospect I can see why it was kinda a shitty response.

It was probably Elephant Butte. It's our biggest lake here. If you look at that water line, we are so fucked because the drought is shrinking the fuck outta that lake right now. There's not even anywhere close to that amount of water in that lake right now.

3 of our last 4 summers we had fores fires so bad being outside was probly like smoking 2 packs a day and the one we didn't Washington had one and all the smoke blew up here. Lol

Yeah heres its wineries and vineyards that have just have gotten stupid fucking common (and replaced 80% of orchards) and its like ok so we need fucking 400 thousand acres of grapes sucking up water for rich people and wine snobs but we can't even get local fruit anymore except at a premium and regular people get banned from watering their lawn.

I actually eat pretty healthy as is for the most part, probably gotta cut back on the red meat but I already eat a lot of vegetables and chicken/fish. I gotta cut back on my apple and pear habit, I usually eat like 3 a day and they said that much sugar, even though it's natural, can be bad for a newer liver. Probably gonna avoid the cheeseburgers for a bit but I can whore myself off for spinach instead. No alcohol, clearly, and besides that I usually just drink water and stuff.
