if you look at the ones with a lot of original songs, it hinges a lot on how much of the process they're able to do themselves. like, it won't cost as much for suisei or calli probably because they have more ability to fill in parts of it themselves rather than having to pay for every single aspect of it

and I'm sure azki (and probably also sora) get some funding from staff for this sort of thing considering they're more song focused over stream focused

Suisei's Ghost was probably one of the x0 million yens ones... No matter how much you earn, that's a lot to pay as an individual. That's like a down payment on a house or two and a half decent cars on one song and MV, but she earned it within a few months, if you also consider that Next Color Planet was also similarly high production value.

Also x0 mil yen IS probably friend price. You probably don't even get to work with some of the people unless they want to work with you. Ghost was written by the guy (or guys?) who did a majority of RAS's songs and were at the peak of their popularity as a result. Suisei and some of the RAS members have had contact before like 6+ months ago where they praised each other, so if they kept in contact, she probably called a favor for the connection. NCP was also written by high profile guys

I bet Matsuri can make a song if she tried. Now that she knows, she's probably able to get a start on things. I think she should lean on Suisei since they work well together anyways. An official duet from them would be a banger and also stuff of my dreams, since they're 2 of my favorites anyways

I feel like aqua has always had an unusual number of haters hanging around, this isn't the first big problem encounter with them and it probably won't be the last either, unfortunately. Although in this specific case I suspect they're only a small part of the situation here

She has a large chinese audience and historically chinese antis have been the culprits for shitting up the lives of other holo talents. It's a reasonable assumption to make.

it's so weird to me that this theory was ever on the table at all lol. Last time aqua had a big problem with antis, coco was probably the one who was most public about cheering her up and stuff. they had a game collab that was really only a game collab on the surface and was actually just a 1 hour counselling session + hololive behind the scenes talk with the two them pretty much just ignoring the game in the background.

if I had to make a hololive stream hall of fame, this woul definitely be in it. It's all about a specific moment at a specific time just around when the hololive growth boom was really starting up but a lot of it still feels relevant now and the whole thing has a different sort of feel to it knowing that coco has now been dealing with a bunch of harassment herself for months

I think they're just trying to make the most of their investment due to how expensive animated stuff is to produce. Apparently a 20min anime episode costs ~2mil to make, so think a couple hundred k to make a 3-4min video
