I like the anime but this game is kind of a mess with a terrible launch. It's also a shard based gacha with multiple servers. Gameplay isn't terrible though.

Oof, yeah, I actually went ahead and tried it out yesterday and it seemed enjoyable enough gameplay-wise ...but I haven't been able to log in since then.

I can deal with shards to a point, it's dependent on how viable it is to farm them outside of the gacha pool and how generous said pool is when dipping in.

The multiple server thing feels more iffy to me. 4-6 for regional/load issues? Understandable. 30+ and counting where progress *and* purchases are kept separate from one another? That's a red flag.

Hell, even the pre-registration rewards are "one server only ever" so hope you picked one you liked because starting over elsewhere will set you back by default.

Touhou LostWord is having a pre-event with the reward being a new costume for Youmu. It looks like the structure of "one week pre-event for a costume followed by a two week main event for a character" is the standard for this game.

Make sure to do corrupted corridor alongside the main story. They're sorta designed so that you do one main ch, then the same ch in corrupted, grind corrupted til you upgrade your units, then go back to the main story. There is also a fast challenge button that I discovered way too late into the playthrough, not sure when you unlock it. If your team's CP is 30% higher than the recommended CP, you can auto clear it without having to see the actual battle, and they'll give you 3*s on the stage automatically.

There are definitely some difficult stages, but main story tends to amount to whether or not you upgraded your units. Event stages near the end get utterly horseshit, even if your CP is higher than the recommended, but they're not exactly impossible either

I also semi-recommend you go back to the tutorial later down the line. They'll sound less bullshit to you and might give you a few hints as to why this or that happens. For example, units attack from top right, down til the bottom, then the next column, then down to the bottom etc. Each team's same panel units are essentially on queue for an attack, and the unit with higher speed goes first.

Sometimes this matters because you want to place your Miyukis in strategic spots so that you delay their anger. Any units with status should go as near the top as possible

In Touhou, I currently keep 2 accounts running, one was my first one where I didn't bother to reroll, and the 2nd one I kept because it rolled Youmuu and Alice early and had a Reimu limit break.

Welp... the 1st acc has the poison girl Medicine Melancholy, who I'm sure will be useful down the line, but most of the limit break is on Sanae, mostly because I like green, and my character in this one is even named Midori lol. This one has deece story card pool to make up for not having Youmu, Ran, or Yuyuko

The 2nd acc is just completely blessed. It has Youmu set to get max LB once she reaches lvl 70, LB2 Reimu, Ran, Alice, Reisen, and a few other units on lower tiers lmao. Of course free Sanae there as well. In terms of story card though, it's just mediocre mostly, and I'm hoping they aren't too crucial to beating things. Rolled Ran on this one today. I'm pretty sure this is the account I'm gonna play in the long run. I feel like rolling for Yuyuko would be greed, so I'm gonna start hoarding on this account. If this account gets Medicine, then I feel like that would make my first acc obsolete

My team is level 45, but they still get smooshed by goddamn kitties, and Miyukis bar seems to fill faster than any of my guys bar so they never get their skills after the initial summon :<

The best counter to a Miyuki is pretty much another Miyuki lmao. But I'm pretty sure I remember the stage you're talking about. You can also try to save your Seeger for when they appear. Saving deployment points is a good strat if you can hold out with less units

Also yeah the invincible girl is annoying to me even now >.>. Only lucky she doesn't do much else

Yeah it's probably pretty good for her. Effect hit just increases the likelihood of your status landing, and she has a stun on her unique. Stun isn't broken or anything, just buys you a small amount of time (against units like Miyuki for example), since units can use their unique move as soon as they get out of stun. But having a trustworthy stun is better for planning out fights

BTW is there a recommended order of the stuff to go for in the event shop? Like selected ticket > shards > partner stone > mirror or something?

Also I like how in this game shoes are classified as pants for equipment lol

It's based on what you want more. I'd say the gold looking wildcard shards, the gold gear looking thing, the tickets, then whatever you want. You can go for some of the equipments and just fill the rest out with mirror shards or any currency you feel you're running out. You won't run out of money anytime soon no matter how hard you try, but you will frequently run out of crystals. But they're significantly easier to get than mirror shards so it's up to you.

Both equips are actually quite good though. The shoes can go on any attacker, but the other 2-3 equips will have to raise crit rate. For a really long time though, equips are more useful for their stats than their effects. Later on the effects really matter, so don't stress too much and just collect as many SSRs as possible, since they're all fairly usable.

Also in general I've found rolling units to be worth the struggle because upping their star rank thing is a massive boost in power due to upgraded effects on one of the 3 moves and stats. That's why mirror shards are important since you need a lot to up the ranks. Other than that, it is actually nice to have several options, though you'll eventually find the best mix and stick with it

Some units to watch out for, Diana, Angela, Kasumi, Phoebe (you have to buy her for a dollar to unlock her >.>), Ming, Ion are all worth rolling for. I have Diana, Angela, and Ion, and they've played a big part at one point or another. I don't think you can fit them in every team like with Miyuki (Ion can probably, if you're lacking dps) especially cuz sometimes you should just go full offense and throw healing and tank out the window.

I have Seeger, Selena, Hotaru, Miyuki, and in about 3 hours, Hersey. I like to use Saya though, since her skill is pretty strong. I didn't even realize that she could instakill people until now lol. I also use Ann and Amon because summons and revive are fun :3

Yeah I didn't mention anybody you could have or I don't have and don't really know about. Also, several of the SRs are really gud, and I've heard all 3 of the main girls are really good, but you do need to progress in the story for their shards, except Saya who you just do the missions for to get her up to SSR.

And yeah I'd go for those items in the event store. Just get both type of tickets. I've randomly hit SSRs with the regular ones quite a few times, and in general they're also good source of mirror shards

Hotaru and Miyuki are considered top tier. Miyuki and Phoebe were never fully powercrept I've heard, and Diana is OP in specific areas while good in others. Those 3 I hear are basically the top 3 units in the game. Lots of modes inflate your MC's HP, which means Diana's fixed 30-50% leader heal is ridiculous. Also makes fulfilling the leader hp conditional really easy in story mode

Victoria has a pretty cool prince skin. I think the main 3 girls have quite a few skins. I think you can view the full list of skins in the skins section.

My favorite design is probably Kiraya. I've also rolled her like 5-6 times lmao so I've almost got her maxed.

For Hotaru, she's definitely a bit more PVP focused than PVE, mostly because stun is better in PVP. But tiers have changed often. Even Diana was considered middling cuz people had faith healing would actually scale with stats well, but nope lol fixed % healing ended up being better

Also I dunno if Hotaru has Awakening, but usually if a character has awakening, they're better than characters without awakening. So tier list b4 a char gets awakening will also prob be outdated. Sadly, it's a long way to awakening, and I haven't even awakened my nearly maxed Kiraya.

Is that from Illusion Connect? Dupes are pretty good. You have to use a dupe to upgrade your weapons beyond like lvl 20. You can also buy a wildcard fodder from the shops but using dupes is more reliable
