Bloody hell. Im just sick of the stall teams in PvP in Dx2. One more uninstalled game to give me more free time.

On one hand, it sucks having to get 7 PVP wins a day (even if some fights can be done against bot teams). On the other hand, it's only 10 gems, so some days I just don't give a fuck.

Also I didn't know shipgirls were serious business to the CCP. It's almost comical hearing about their censorship bullshit.

Hint for those with coin shortages in Touhou: unlock the School service (a facility where you can put up to 2 girls in and they passively gain experience points and levels) and fill the meter with a lot of food items. Apparently the tasks you complete by doing that give a ton of coins as the reward. I was also running really short on coins until I dumped a bunch into that meter.

Coin seems to be a much more valuable commodity than the cubes for sure. I actually have like 80+ cubes and like 2k coin >.>, and that's while holding off on a few upgrades and stuff that also cost a lot of money

Yeah, the fact that pulls cost both crystals and coins is kind of annoying, especially considering how many other things in this game also use the same coins. I've done 2 more 10-pulls since my initial rolls (got limit break dupes for both Chen and Luna but no one actually new) but every time I had enough crystals to make the 10-pull, I had to wait until I got more coins to be able to actually do it.

TBH, I've only really paid attention to fan stuff for Saratoga, Shigure, Yuudachi and Vampire, so I can't say for certain for most of them. I've seen Indy and Terror referred to as lolis before, but that was before either of them got skins, and I don't think it was a prevailing opinion even then (though they weren't really discussed much).

It's also possible that my impressions are mistaken, but I'm pretty certain most of the time I've seen Yuudachi referred to as a loli when discussed.

I think there's like a brief thing when you start the stage? Not 100% sure myself, cuz I just discovered the skip some animation and 2x function... This game really has poor ass UX

Also the Ch 1 boss was surprisingly pretty difficult. I don't really have any of the supposed good units, but one of the lower tier characters was pretty key. I just didn't realize how freaking broken breaking a unit's barrier actually was. I was also pretty ambiguous on when the f I should use graze despite being quite a ways into the game, but it straight up avoids every damage from a single attack, even the spells, as long as you have 1 up. The only reason you'd put more graze up is if there are multiple enemies

Knowing this and knowing wtf you have equipped and what the spells individually ACTUALLY does is very important lmao. Also focus is basically taunt. It increases the likelihood of that unit being hit. I wish they'd have a UI for explaining the key words... Lowering focus, conversely decreases

But breaking a boss' shield is so goddamn op that now I understand why having a base level elemental is so good on a spread or burst attack. Pretty much just have the characters be constantly using whatever skill that can reduce their barrier count. I don't think building up the P meter is even comparable to the benefit you get from just hitting their weaknesses over and over.

Buffs don't seem to stack either, so just use a spell to refresh buffs and stuff accordingly. Know which characters go for to time your debuffs well, too.

Supposedly AOE becomes more and more op as time goes on tho... that kinda worries me cuz I don't have good AOE. I heard the game only goes up to ch 2 so I'm contemplating trying to get a better account running. I have one that literally has like 3 rows of 5* story book but meh characters. I'm starting to think that one will have much less stress down the line. But ugh... hearing some ppl talk about the end game really worries me lol. I hate global releases that start from the start because we're guaranteed to face a bad meta for the coming months.

Oh wait, I see. Theres a menu button that says the wave number. Its just that its not in the longass prologue lol. I just decided to try the daily since its one of the tasks (got whooped even though theyre only level 10 since I couldnt level any of my guys before the fight).

Also, I dont really get what that screen means when you check the details for an attack and it has a whole list of stuff D:



Also its god damn confusing how the characters are referred to as friends, so the button to check your units is called Friends lol. For the longest time I thought that was where you managed a friend list of other players lol. You know how games like these are :<

I was somewhat interested until I heard how much worse the gacha rates are for Global. I can't verify it myself, but apparently pity is:
Original = +2% per pull starting from 41st pull
Global = +0.3% per pull starting from 50th pull

Yeah, that's the wake-up call battle I was talking about back in post 185. Using Reimu's anti-Youkai bullets and her skill that focuses enemy attacks on her (plus timing grazes right to guard against the bigger attacks) is key to winning that battle. Having strong Moon, Wood, or no-element damage sources makes life easier, but you still have to use the above strategy well enough to be able to win and especially to 3-star the battle.

I don't think building up the P meter is even comparable to the benefit you get from just hitting their weaknesses over and over.

Unfortunately, the only character I had that could hit her weakness needs to build the P meter before she can actually attack with that element in her normal shots. It's either that or burn her spell cards early.

Why do you think people were hyping up Youmu so much? She has AoE on her basic spread shot, which lets her clear out the trash mobs in early waves while also building her P meter for the later waves. A few other characters have that trait (I luckily also have Chen who does the same thing but a bit weaker) and it really comes in handy.

Gamepress has been a lifesaver for quite a few gacha games I've played over the years, including FEH, GFL, MagiReco, and now this one.

I haven't run into fatigue at all. Not once. Maybe I'm not grinding the game as hard as you?

I randomly pulled Medicine Melancholy in Touhou, who's an S-tier character along with Reimu. I now have her, Youmu, and Chen all with AoE basic shots, which will be great for farming and strong in tough battles too.

Also, this game seemingly spits out Paper Dolls (an item that substitutes for a character dupe for a limit break) like crazy. I got one from the weekly challenges (so you can get one every week) and another from I think a login bonus. That feels really generous.

I pulled Medicine Melancholy when I was rerolling. I got Youmu at the start, then MM with my other rolls. I was gonna toss that roll because I wanted Ram, but I was tired of rerolling and just said fuck it, she's considered good so I'll just keep this.

And random thing, but Star Sapphire makes me think of JJBA because of Star Platinum :<

Like the dorm (plenty of stuff here; buying food with stamina, increasing morale and exp, higher rarity stuff giving exp bonuses, highest rarity stuff only purchasable with premium currency), skill books, the summons taking cubes and money, the errand system, the two places that build coins and stamina...

I mean I know that AL probably borrowed that from another game, which borrowed it from another game, etc. But it's just that since I'm actively playing AL the similarities just jumped out at me lol

Oh yeah, and speaking of "borrowing", I'm gonna try Chrono Traveler. It's one of those games that shamelessly steals popular characters and makes just enough minor tweaks to avoid a lawsuit lol. Like little miss bootleg 2B over here

Yeah Illusion Connect is pretty fun. At least it's very kind to newer players then after you're done with all the content, the game will screw you.

But I've been playing for about 2 months and taking it slow, still got stuff to do without feeling too screwed. Honestly kinda enjoyed the game overall. Has a decent story and all the art are top notch

This is also one of those games where you get to use the villains, who are all usually very terrible people but goddamn it, why they gotta be so hot

(Also if you start, Miyuki is just straight up the best unit in the game and also by far the most popular character. They let you pick between 4 really good units, can't really go wrong with any of them but if you haven't pulled Miyuki, you should just pick her to reduce stress)

Oh yeah, I just saw that game too. It's too bad that I started playing AFK Arena first, because I prefer waifus over most of the characters in AFK. Although AFK Arena has some good collab characters like Joker and Albedo.

Admittedly, AFK Arena did have some fine lasses, but just like every other game I've dropped, no amount of pretty faces and jiggly bits will keep me around if the game its self starts annoying me.

Remains to be seen if Princess Tale will make the same mistakes or learn to avoid them.

Wait, I just noticed: the free daily summon is TEMPORARY????? Are they seriously having a game that doesn't give a free daily summon???

Summoning once gets you the daily mission for it, which is essentially a refund or a free daily

Also for Illusion Connect, in general it's good to prioritize rolling one type of unit, but I still wouldn't worry too much about it. The focus banners will only drop the characters on there, while the limited banners (or whatever you use the gold ticket for) has a pool of like 4 SSRs with one of them having 40% to come out if you get the SSR guarantee. The SSR guarantee in those gold ticket ones only happen if you do the full 10 pulls btw. It doesn't work for individual pulls that amount to 10 >.> Learned that the hard way.

The gold tickets build up over time (doing all the dailies will give you 1 ticket per day), but right now I'd rather just try to stockpile as many SSRs as possible. Some people will recommend just blowing everything on the general banner, the one that says radiant summon, and seeing what you get and going from there.

Also the reason why you stick to one type if possible is because the leader can change classes, and his passives require different sets of units. They all have an annoying and generally f2p-unfriendly passive that requires you to have 80% of the units in that class, but I've been able to get far without fulfilling it, so it's nothing you absolutely need to think about, but there are a few other passives that are much easier that you have to field like 4 of that class for or something.

The Purple Circly class don't have a leader btw, but Miyuki is that class and she's the best unit in the game by far, which is why people suspect they're reluctant to pump the purply circle class leader out.

You get more leader classes by getting all the stars in specific hard difficulty chs of the main story.

I bound an account that got Seeger, which I'm pretty happy with. I don't really understand how it works with choosing a character though. Like there was that one thing where you get to choose 1 of 4 characters I think to get after your 8th log in. I can't seem to find that anymore. I chose Hersey BTW. I just like her look :3

I was initially going to reroll for either Yuffie or Hersey, but I didn't know about Seeger. That, combined with the fact that I can't keep naming the main character Bunny convinced me to stick with just my second roll :<

I think Seeger is pretty powerful. I dunno what she does but she has a crazy animation for just coming into play so... she's probably pretty good

The character choosing, if you look at perks? whatever on the top right corner of the main menu buttons, there should be a login bonus that ends with you getting the character you chose.

But yeah Hersey is a decent choice. She appears in the 2nd arc I believe. She also gives bonus to the 2nd leader class. You need either Hersey or Maki.

Oh yeah I guess she does lmfao (a guy used it on me in PVP, and I did go wait... wtf just happened lol. Now I know). But later on, your followers tend to fall pretty easily, and you could easily get into a situation where you have nothing and the enemy has a full board. So you'd basically just drop a nuke on the board. She has attacks outside the passive so it's not like you can't just summon her first, or wait for the enemy to place a few units down and then put her down
