I believe that honest discussion and empathy can help facilitate communication and greater understanding between people than insults and ridicule.

But these guys are fucking nazis they goddamn well know what they're doing, this isn't some kind of honest mistake, "oops I don't realize nazis were bad, the only thing that indicated this to me in the past was everything ever". These guys have chosen their side. Annoy the hell out of them with a counter protest.

Yeah, that is pretty much what happens ever since the Charlottesville. Neo nazis are pretty dumb, but even they realize that going to these things is only going to get them doxxed and beat up by antifa agents while the cops watch on.

For instance, they just had a march for white lives event recently in Santa Barbara and there was maybe 100 counter protesters and not even a single white supremacist. I wouldn't doubt it was the FBI organizing most of these as some type of honeypot, since the announcements come from nowhere and there is little popular backing or attendence for these, which you would typically expect from a grassroots movement

A) Obeying the law.
B) Paying taxes.
C) Serving on a jury when summoned.
D) Registering with the Selective Service.

Starting drama with Arizona Nazis isn't a required civic duty. It's even the opposite of an optional duty - practicing tolerance and acceptance of others with different ideas and beliefs.

Luke Skywalker and Han Solo blew up the Death Star because it was a threat to the Rebel Alliance and anyone who apposed them as they'd blow them up. There were no laws saying you couldn't do this. Anyone who disagreed with the Galactic Empire just died so they ruled with an iron hand. If anything, Luke would've been a vigilante - taking the law into his own hands.

These people are not doing anything to others, directly. You may be offended by them. You may think their approach, ideals, beliefs, or actions are dumb, wrong, insane, whatever, and you have every right to think this. But going to their protest, a right bestowed to them by the Bill of Rights and therein the United States Constitution, and creating drama just because you don't agree with them is just childish.

They're not going to magically or suddenly change their mind because you don't agree with them. If anything, you're adding fuel to their fire. Leave them alone. Let them do their thing and move on with your life.

Actually, it does include verbal attacks. Quite explicitly so. Physical, no, and verbal attacks are prohibited from falling into the defined exceptions of threats and harassment (the latter of which requires a systematic, targeted effort, not simply showing up at protests and being annoying), but calling Nazis poopyheads is as legally permitted as it is morally imperative (which is to say 100%).
