Heck, I'd say the exact opposite is true: The song is explicitly about non-consensual sexual relations at surface value, and it's only when when you look a little deeper you find the implications and context that indicate that it is just a matter of coyly teasing each other in a consensual relationship. lihlih posted... I was largely indifferent towards it beforehand, but I looked forward to it being played with a major recap (usually around a finale) each season. They totally pulled an American Horror Story with Supernatural's fucking ending, though. ie, you get an ending and then a very long bittersweet epilogue-ish episode. Jack was kind of a dick being so hands-off that he'd just let Dean die like that, too. Oh, and what the fuck happened with Amara? She re-joined with Chuck. Did she somehow get drained into Jack's body? That shit was twisted. but none of them begin to compare to the Denzel movie the fallen. (ok no original music in that but it uses existing superbly well), or well for slasher. Basic Texas chainsaw massacre or Friday the 13th. slasher is good. But only as a tv show. Although Asylum and Coven were both excellent seasons (Murder House was the shits, it's still my least favorite season, although Hotel also ranks near the bottom), there were a few damn good seasons afterward. Roanake was surprisingly good. That shit was twisted. Slasher was kinda terrible for seasons 1 & 2, and even season 3 had some stupid elements. I liked the premise for s2 & 3, but there wasn't much I liked about s1. And there didn't seem to be much of a psychological component to Slasher. It mostly played straight to the tropes and stuck with a predictable episode format (with elements that didn't make any sense if you stopped to think about them... not to mention that the show never really managed to build any tension, unlike say, Harper's Island). At least AHS: 1984 kinda played with the slasher idea, even if it wound up having a bit too much fun with it by the end. The first half of 1984 basically worked as an almost-straight telling of a slasher story, just set in the AHS universe with AHS elements. The second half kinda veered off entirely into AHS storytelling, although it worked a lot of other slasher tropes in there. Conner4REAL posted... sinner season 3 is where the show should be.
