Elemental Bows based on whatever the weakness of the monster youre fighting is, use whatever shot type you like but Rapid is generally best for landing hits on weakspots. Oh and I highly recommend the Arial Aim switch skill

Dont bother too much with grinding for armor in low rank but some skills to definitely look out for are constitution, stamina surge, and element attack ups. Evade window is nice as well as is rapid/spread/pierce up depending on your shot type. Youll need a set for each element.

Get at least 3 constitution (more is better) then stack element attack ups, if you still have a gear slot free try to fit stamina surge or rapid/spread/pierce up if you can. Just forge whatever the highest defense armor pieces with those skills that you can. Youll be replacing all your armor immediately in high rank so no use grinding for anything specific

You don't need an SD card for this unless your downloading it. And even then it'll fit on the base system won't it

Okay I'm ready to hop back on today, barely played yesterday lol. Was able to upgrade my fire Glaive (got an Aknosom Gem 2nd try, thankfully) and I think I settled on going for some Bone Armor for now to tide me over until a much better upgrade.

Getting to that point where I'm thinking about starting a second character. For some reason I don't like going a different weapon on the same character, just doesn't feel right. I've already got everything unlocked and all the mats, doesn't feel like I earned it, you know? But starting from the beginning with a whole new character, I've gotta learn the weapon from the beginning.

Only reason I never did anything like start a new character in any of the games is because I know I wouldn't be able to stand it if I got a god-tier charm on a new character.

Bought this because my girlfriend loves the series despite my mediocre experience with World. I like how they split online and solo because I can play a lot more than she can, so I can just progress in solos until we're together or online to do hub stuff. We just finished the second hub rampage I think.

Having a lot more fun with this. Dogs are awesome, wirebugs are awesome, the mobility increases alone make it so much more playable. At three stars for village and hub I think. Toyed around with most weapons in training, settled on lance for a while, then recently switched to gunlance and think I'm enjoying it more.

I wanted to try some of the ranged guns (bow / bowguns) but they all felt kinda stale. Like you just position yourself far away and pepper them until they die. Effective, sure, but seems like it would be dull. Like the "gamewith" move guide for the light bowgun was so short, I find it hard to enjoy playing with a ranged weapon like that.
