These areas are so massive with vertical exploration I use about 2 hours just getting a feel for it when I unlock a new place.

I tried sticking with LS but I eventually went back to Bow and BGs. I can't play LS like it was in 4U. This new style of using sheath attacks, counter attacks and jumping attacks don't work for me. Will use Hammer, though.

Wow. Lots of topics are Rise vs World topics. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Reminds me of the days when Oblivion/Skyrim came out and Morrowind would not STFU about how bad the sequels are.

It's still new enough where most people are just starting and at the beginning of the game where the monsters won't be too tough and it won't be a rage inducing cart fest.

Finally started playing this yesterday and it is SO FUN. Only on 3* Village, finally broke away from the LS and I'm using the Glaive. Also tested out and had fun with the HH and LBG but I'll focus on those two later.

Resisting the temptation to get this even though I told myself I was going to skip this title because now a bunch of my friends have it.

I'm just going to keep telling myself that Nintendo's online infrastructure probably makes the game unplayable in multiplayer.

Tri and 3U had much better online infrastructure than World, TBH.

You could actually search for a room and not have to go through 14 rooms of people not actually hunting what the room tags suggest to find what you were looking for.

I've been playing with friends on Discord and it's working fine. Even GU worked well on Switch, so I guess Capcom just knows how to get their MH's to work. Haven't played much with randoms though so I don't know if it gets much worse.

Metsu Shoryugeki's KO values are pretty ridiculous. A single counter is KO-ing almost every high rank Monster at the start of the hunt(solo scaled). Not complaining though <_<

Yeah, the monster hunter "fanbase" on this site is a absolute dumpster fire. I do like helping out dude's in their hunts every now and then (got to actually get around to gearing up in rise, but I did it in world all the time), but everytime I think I want to try actually posting there and to attempt to be a "regular" poster I guess, I look at the first batch of topics and just nope the fuck out, lol.

you could also just go to the hunting board and search for what u wanna hunt

Fought Magnamalo for the first time and man it did not go well at all. Good chance I would have failed the quest if a Rathian didn't show up. I was able to mount it and pummel the shit of Magna before landing the finishing blow.

At least it should go more smoothly when I encounter it in the Village questline.

Grats on it being successful! It still counts. :)

I just finished hunting it for the first time, too, in the Village quests. It pushed me around a little (I didn't play the second demo) but it's a fun fight.
