On the other hand, the remake's art style reminds me of phone games in a bad way. It doesn't look like half-assed dogshit, sure, but I feel like you can see the seams of the models in a similar way that most phone game models feel. It's coming off as similarly underbaked to me. The remakes need some polish. I think there are some corners they need to smooth out, and I think they need to work on textures. The player characters look shiny and the in-battle environments look kinda bad. If they can improve the model textures and smooth out the corners and peaks in the battle environments, I could get on board with it. --- I can feel it in my bones, I'm gonna spend another year alone. You were either going to get a really high quality, well done Gen 4 remake and that's it, or something big and brand new from the franchise, with the remakes being an afterthought. So many people spent the last three years bitching about how TPC needs to do with Pokemon what Nintendo did with Zelda/BotW, and they're doing that. DP remakes are a bonus.
