I don't even think the original show was great, but then again I wasn't a pre-teen or kid when it was on, so I was probably judging it by higher standards than most of the people watching it at the time. We all tend to overestimate the quality of the shows we loved as kids. However, I'm not all that excited about the news, unless it's specifically to bring closure to the original TLA. ParanoidObsessive posted... In fact, I was a jaded, curmudgeonly adult biased against the show and inclined to dislike it.... but then I finally wound up watching it (starting with the "Ember Island Players" and the 3-part finale, no less) and was beyond instantly sold on it. Along with JL/U, it's easily a contender the best Western animated non-sitcom. I mean, holy shit was TLA incredible. (Aside from "The Great Divide.") Why can't more shows be that good?
