Sounded cool with a range of post-education jobs that I would've liked to do, partially due to a background in Boy Scouts. Experience was good enough. There were a lot of labs which sucked up time but also were literal field trips that were educational and interesting. One class had us learning how to delineate wetlands so there were a few times we'd be wearing rubber calf boots and still manage to get muddy water inside of them which made for a VERY PLEASANT subsequent hour or two outside. Currently doing a bunch of material science/engineering for oil and gas and transitioning more towards Quality Engineer (lmao). Environmental Science; minors in Biology and Chemistry. Sounded cool with a range of post-education jobs that I would've liked to do, partially due to a background in Boy Scouts.

Experience was good enough. There were a lot of labs which sucked up time but also were literal field trips that were educational and interesting. One class had us learning how to delineate wetlands so there were a few times we'd be wearing rubber calf boots and still manage to get muddy water inside of them which made for a VERY PLEASANT subsequent hour or two outside.

Currently doing a bunch of material science/engineering for oil and gas and transitioning more towards Quality Engineer (lmao). Having a STEM degree was absolutely what got my foot in the door.
